Ok, now about the match.

Roman played very bad, and the missed penalty is the result of his level, I just hope he improve in the WC.

Forlan and Franco arent doing what they supposed to do SCORE GOALS!!!.

Pellegrini put 4 defenders, that was a big mistake. Only Henry was in the Arsenal attack, and even him was in the midfield the entire match.

Lehman is the best keeper in the world right now.

I think Villarreal deserved at least one goal, to go to extra time.

Riquelme overrated..?! I dont think so, he is the reason why Villarreal was in the Semifinals of the CL.

I think in the next season we will see a better Villarreal.


Congratulations to Arsenal. They deserve to be in the finals. Great players with talent and long term work by Wenger.

Riquelme is still one of the best playmakers arround, and he will show it to the world in the WC.

Franco played great today (well, in the midfield). I showed up in the 2nd half at the bar and everyone told me that Franco missed three sure goals (this guy really needs to learn how to finish and they wanted Jose Mari in <who proved to be terrible>......but besides that, I saw him great in the midfield (and he tried really hard, probably harder than anyone on that team)

He always had an excellent finish for plays before he came to Villareal.
That penalty, I am sure he would not had missed it.
(Of course, with Lehmann in this form, I'm not sure I can guarantee that. :fool: )

I still think he's trying too hard to fit in though, and really hasn't loosen up enough to play this kind of football.


Villareal should definitely play him more, he really fights alot on the field, and is just the kind of player that would fit well with their tactics.

I'm very sad for Villarreal, this is the worst way for lose this match
But they can be very proud about this Champions League season, Lille, Benfica, Manchester, Rangers and Inter, excelent teams that couldn't win to this humble team
The next season surely they will be in UEFA cup winning intertoto cup, I hope they win it.
Finally, all spanish people will be supporting Barça and Sevilla in theirs matchs, and I hope to see this year the two most important cups in europe travelling to Spain
