I knew Ronaldo was skipping the Confederations cup, and i can fully understand. But why is he sitting out WCQ? especially the biggest game on the calender.

assuming hes healthy, wouldnt lucio be ahead of roque?

and cambiasso over mascherano.

Im gonna assume, like always Aimar is injured and thats why you have Gonzalez ahead of him.

Ronaldo is lazy. He wants vacations, He gets vacations

Lucio got a red last game, He is ahead of Roque J.

Cambiasso played like TRASH Saturday, I prefer Mascherano to Esteban right now.

I don't think Aimar is injured, I don't get why he isn't playing. He should.

Ronaldo is having severe "personal problems" (divorce, his former wife had a miscarriage, etc), that's why he's not playing. Besides, it isn't THAT important... Brazil is almost qualified for the WC and they have Adriano, Robinho, Baptista and Oliveira to replace him.

Lucio and Cambiasso are both suspended (red card in the previous game)

That is the lineup I wanted to see against Ecuador, and it's similar to the one I posted in the spanish forum.

Cambiasso was red carded in Saturday's game so he's suspended. Even if he were available, Mascherano should play. Tevez wouldn't touch the field if I were coaching, and Figueroa would be the first sub I'd make, replacing Saviola.

One other change I'd make is put Gaby Milito as a CB, and remove Lucho. Milito was one of our best players vs. Ecuador and should be rewarded with another start. Playing with a line of 4 would be a good way to start the game as well. With Lucho out, Riquelme can work his magic in the midfield all alone. If he has an off night, we can turn to Aimar.

I don't see two OMF's working. Both Riquelme and Aimar are the kind of players that need to be given room to create, and work best when they are the only ones depended on to supply the strikers. This is true especially for Riquelme, as we saw with Villarreal this year.

Samuel is complete garbage on the NT, he's slow and doesn't play anywhere near the form he showed with Roma. I don't mention his Real Madrid form because he hasn't impressed me at all.

The 3-man defensive line could work, maybe Pekerman will use that.

Oh yeah, aren't the benches only 5 players?

Yeah sure buddy. What about these kids:

- Crespo, Aimar, D'Alesandro, Riquelme...and I know they don't get the same recognition, but trust me they're as good as anything out there. Looking back at the Copa America...Argentina shouldve won it.
- Brazil definitely has better players in terms of skills and individual play, but Argentina is my choice for "better team" when they play together.
- So NO, Brazil's NT is not 100 times better...only a couple WC's. :boohoo:

I'd really like if the formation of Argentina was like that, Aimar and Figueroa better be in bench. What should be the bench: Franco, Milito, G. Rodríguez, Bernardi, Aimar, Tévez and Figueroa.
Pekerman mentioned about being bothered about Clemente Rodríguez playing in Russia that makes it very hard for him to come and play.

Doesn't Brazil have better players than Emerson and Zé Roberto? I don't like them.

I think it'll be 3-1 for Argentina goals by Crespo(x2), Sorin and Ronaldinho/Adriano.
