Just turned it on, as I was in a meeting when it kicked off. Gotta say I like our kits, and Jamaica's all-yellow is nice, too. (Y)

by that reasoning, 95% of americans are foreigners, except for the native americans

what the hell's the point? If these guys were born in the US and live in the US, who the hell are they going to play for?

Exactly, the same can be said about Canada.

If you're born somewhere that's your nationality, not where your grandparents' dog was born.

Reggae Boyz eliminated from the World Cup. The good news is that we don't have to make another trip to "The Office". The bad news is that I was planning on scoring some cheap dope if they advanced. Oh well, there's always 2009.

Stoner misspoke. Spector is 6'0, 180 lbs.

Overall this game was a bit disappointing. We should have won it, but after Gooch got sent off we had to take a defensive stance. Good to see McBride and EJ combining well. Can someone explain to me why Gibbs was playing left mid for most of the game?

For the first 70 minutes our line-up looked something like:

----------------------Keller---------------------

--Albright---Onyewu---Sanneh------------

----------------Mastroeni--------------Gibbs-
----------------Corrales------------------------
--Ralston--------Donovan--------------------

----------Johnson------McBride--------------

I'm guessing Bruce wanted to attack down the right while opening space for Gibbs to make long runs forward on the left.

Here's my player grades:

Keller - 8 (came up big when he had to)

Gibbs - 8 (solid effort from him)
Sanneh - 7 (mostly did well but some questionable decisions)
Onyewu - 7.5 (unlucky to get sent off)
Albright - 8 (very strong defensively)

Mastroeni - 8.5 (great defensive work; set up the goal)
Corrales - 6.5 (gave up penalty, mediocre)
Ralston - 7 (did well, nothing spectacular though)
Donovan - 7 (you've come to expect more from him)

Johnson - 8.5 (scored goal, could have had a couple more; active all game)
McBride - 7.5 (combined well with EJ)

Spector is quality, you can already tell. That loan to West Brom is going to be good for him.
