Youth Team
This piece of info comes from Kezman of the Evo-Web boards, who knows an editor of a magazine who is currently trying out the game for a review:
- the ball deflects very often, works in such a way, as if now
also the member masses were computed individually
- goal keepers shorten the angle (news); you can also move them freely (old news *g*)
- Manual passing is still included but you'll have to press R3 (right analog stick) when doing that
- 360° move -> moving right analog stick in a circle
- Players tend to use their "right" foot much more often when shooting from angles where they normally used their crappy "wrong" foot before
- Bad luck: The editor in his preview version does not work correctly (PS2 freezing) so I cannot tell if it's possible to transfer players more easily or if this is still "messed up" with this ID thingie.
- These crappy arm-duel-animations when two players were running besides each other fighting for the ball are GONE. Hallelujah, that sucked. There are now MANY new duel animations which seem to be A LOT more realistic.
- AI seems to be better: Great covering of free spaces on the pitch. AI tendentiously withdraws much more. My mates says it's much harder to get into the opponent's penalty area.
- Bad news for this instant replay feature: IR only works for him as long as the ball is on the pitch. If it goes out: No IR of the last seconds possible. Damn, that would mean that this feature is pretty useless when shooting at the goal and the ball goes out several seconds later. Hoping that this is still a bug for the PAL version and we get FULL instant replay for WE7 even when the ball is kicked outside the field. So no fully confirmation for WE7 here!
- No limitations for red cards, which means that more than three players can be sent off the field.
- Crossings while running seem to be more difficult and less precisely.
- The ball bumps more often during normal passing.
- The overall look and gameplay seems to be impressive. More realistic to watch and more realistic feeling while playing (you cannot describe this "magic" but I know what he means. And so do you).
Sounds veeeeeery good to me.
