Yeah, schools pay more attention to your sophomore and junior year. Freshman and senior year aren't looked at too often. Thank god. :p

I read the feature about Isla Vista in Details, and that sounds like a nice place to get smashed. Have to watch out for those cliffs, tho.

I have to diagree. I mean I my have had only 3 classes but they were very important to get into school. I know that all colleges want to see how well I did as a T.A. for the Art Gallery. I think I did damn good considering that nothing got stolen and that sculpture that I broke I blamed on the 5th peroid T.A.

I go to Mount St. Mary's College in Maryland. It is really small but Division One for athletics. I'm majoring in International Politics and French. Camp David is within 10 minutes and we are in a no fly zone because of it. FEMA has offices, the National Firefighting Academy is here also.

The funny thing is that we were voted the school with the dirtiest name on Maxim Online earlier this year. We might be changing our name to Mount St. Mary's University so we will be known as Mount U.

Yeah, but senior year doesn't count in your GPA that gets sent to colleges.

I'm currently at the University of Louisville. Have one more year left and I'm now in the process of applying to law schools. So far I'm looking at the U of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Louisville, Indiana, Ohio State, etc.

Well, I plan to go into either Law or Journalism. I am interested in the Law and Society program in York University, and then go to teh actual Law program after that (Wanna take that Human Rights Law program in U of T). Either that or maybe I'll go to UK so that I can take Law for my first program. I am also (more interested) in taking the Communication Studies program at York or Journalism at University of Toronto.

nah, Moron mentioned the University of British Columbia (H)

and besides, most of the Canadian users on SG are from Toronto, and U of T and York are the best Unis here

That's what my cousin did. He went to USC, majored in Political Science and is at a law school in Arlington, Virginia. He's going to be making some good money in a couple of months. I don't know the name of the school he's at though. He's going to be a good lawyer from what I've heard people say.

Those are just the 2 biggest universities in Toronto. Montreal has McGuill, there's also University of Waterloo (in waterloo), McMaster in Hamilton, Queens in Kingston...

I'm not sure really. Either it's a blanket major or I could try to get into law school, but I doubt that'd happen even if I tried.

Jouranlism is like my second choice. It would be a great job, for the future. I'll be a sports journalist

Well my major is journalism so I will clear up one fact it is almost impossible to pick what you will write about. Most times you just get stuck with whatever you are assigned no matter your style of writing or investagating. I am only taking journalism so I can say have the degree in case I need to get a job as some scrub reporter for the Modesto Bee or something crappy like that. My writing style is more of that like a Dave Barry or a Tony Kornhieser but it is hard to get a job like that. What I am doing is trying to get on at a small local newspaper and write for free. Just to get the time under my belt. I have also look at writing for websites in different fields again just to expand my ability and portfolio. That way I have alot of work to show a major newspaper in all types of fields and won't be stuck in one field only.

Also I am leaning my classes heavy on Print Journalism and not Broadcast Journalism but the same basic ideas apply as far as it being tough to decide where you will be placed. You can't say I will only do sports because if you do that you may never get a job.
