Does anyone know what Kluiverts gonna do. Is he staying at Barca? Is he coming to the P-Ship? Is he moving somewhere else?

I think it will depend on whether Barca sign Jardel or supposedly they are linked with Tristan, if theyt get Tristan i think Kluivert would come to Newcastle

Not the first half year, as he already played in the CL-preliminary vs Legia Warsaw. So now he is not allowed to play CL in another team, and that makes it not interesting anymore for other teams...

Funny. I saw Kluivert's last press conference at Camp Nou and, when asked about Barça buying Jardel, the Dutch striker replied with a laconic: "Another striker? Why? Don't we have enough?":jambo:

And why is he not interested in having more strikers than necessary particularly a striker like JARDEL ?

The same journalist asked him to comment on Jardel's value. Kluivert answered that he only saw him play once, and it was last season.:jambo: Looks like he doesn't watch that much football...
Anyway, he seemed very upset with something, hence the dumb answers he gave.

I know that many people won´t agree with me but I really don´t care.

In my team I prefer Kluivert than Jardel. With Jardel on the team the whole team must play for him and in my opinion that´s not good, Kluivert is a great player and Jardel isn´t.
Jardel can keep complaining about that he wants to play for Brasil and bla bla bla but he´ll never be a regular on the national team cos (sorry for the ppl in Portugal) he´s style of play is for small team with crap player that can only cross the ball over the box.

I am one of those who believes he´ll never score this ammount of goals in a stronger league like EPL, Bundesliga, Seria A or La Liga.

BTW here in Brasil when he played for Vasco da Gama he was crap and he became famous playing for Grêmio cos the teams in the south of the country always plays crossing balls for a forward.

Jardel has always been a big fish in a small pond. I think he just found the right situation at his club which enabled him to score so much.Sort of like Larsson at Celtic who settled into a niche which he is good at.
Kluivert is a class player all round. And he is right another striker for Barca would be overkill as well as a waste of money.

I think both hristostoichkov and Zcrysis are very wrong.

Starting with what hristostoichkov said, I'd like to point out that any team must have a certain style of play that fits the players they have. If Jardel is a superb header, it's obvious that the coach will ask his players to cross as many balls as they can. You say that is having the whole team playing for Jardel, I say that's a coach using his brains to get his team a victory. Jardel delivers like no other player on earth. Winning is the important thing. What's the point of having a flashy Kluivert if Barcelona can't win anything with him?

I also disagree when you say that his style of play only fits small teams. For starters, I don't think that FC Porto, Galatasaray or Sporting are small teams. Let me remind you that FC Porto has been consistently on UEFA's top 10 best clubs during the 90's, as well as we're one of the clubs with most presences on the CL.
About Galatasaray, I think that winning a UEFA cup and an European Super Cup (with a goal by Jardel) speak for itself. Sporting is the current Portuguese champion and that's that. They're having a tough time with Inter, but I believe that with Jardel, a man that scores over 40 goals per season, they would have beaten the Italian club. They wasted too many chances on the 1st leg (and so did Inter, btw) and now they'll pay for it on the 2nd leg.
These 3 teams are flooded with great players, most of them are regular starters for their respective countries.

Jardel has proved time and time again that he can score against ANY team of the world. Ask AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern, Real Madrid, etc., etc. I don't see why he wouldn't do the same if he was aided by even better players, like Saviola and Riquelme.

Finally, how long ago did he play for Vasco da Gama? He came to Porto with the age of 23 and he developed his skills in an impressive way, especially his ball control and shooting with both feet.

As for Zcrysis, I think that being successful in 3 different clubs proves you wrong.

I would take Jardel over Kluivert ANYDAY. Sure, the Dutch striker has more skill and elegance, but Jardel wins games. That's what Van Gaal wants. Besides, he thinks that having another quality striker will force Kluivert to apply himself harder.

Oh well, if we all agreed on everything, this world would be a boring place, wouldn't it? :)

Totally right.;)

Well I knew I shoudn´t have wrote "small teams".

Here we go.
First I don´t think that those teams are small teams. Yes I wrote that but it doesn´t explain what I think. I was trying to say that with a player like Jardel on your team you don´t really need the skill to make another plays and that´s why he won´t be in our national team. The way I see a soccer game it´s not right to have a player in the box and the whole team crossing the ball to him and depending on him to win the games.

Comparing Kluivert and Jardel of course the brasilian is better (way better ) than Kluivert in heading the ball but with Kluivert on the team you can have many plays as he´s good passing the ball, he´s fast, he shoots pretty well and Jardel in my opinion is good only heading the ball.

Making the long story short. You would take Jardel over Kluivert ANYDAY as you said and I would take Kluivert over Jardel ANYDAY.

I tryed to explain the best way I could. In portuguese would be much easier.

The guessed dialogue says some nonsense about "I want you", but I bet anything that it's "I met you". Mourinho was Van Gaal's assistant at Barcelona when Kluivert Sr. was their #9. Everyone would have surely met the family and kids at a club event.

Still, crazy if he coaches Kluivert Jr. too.
