Hey YOYO do you know what soccer is? Yeah I thought so. Ofcourse you won't enjoy ISS cause ISS is for football lovers. Probably your one of the people don't watch a full game cause you can't enjoy it, it is too boring for you. ISS gameplay is 100 times better than the fifa's gameplay. I have changed some settings of the ini file and got little better, better than nothing. I am playing it untill I get my PS. If I had PS2 PES I wouldn't even play FIFA.

Well, I shouldn't be the one to be talking, really. I bought FIFA 2002, thought it sucked (and it kinda did), and went here prattling and sobbing about how bad the game was.

But then.... I just saw how sad I really was... I sank myself to the level of those whom I used to despise (oooh, strong language, eh?) - I actually became someone whom I despised, what, a couple of weeks before I bought the game? What is it, I didn't have anything else to do but the bash the supposed "idiots" at the EA who don't know Carlos about football? Well, nobody actually pointed out the irony to me, that I bought the game for 50 bucks and I didn't like it, and I called someone ELSE an idiot. Who the hell is an idiot here but me? EA may not know Carlos about football, but it seems as if though I do not know Carlos about life and business and how it all works. I suddenly felt extremely ashamed that I lived in San Francisco Bay Area.


And that is not considering that later I acquired a computer with 1.5 gigahertz, put the graphic detail option to max, and actually began to enjoy the game. Heh =)

So, anyway. Red Wright, as a true canuck, do me a favor.. Instead of telling all these people of how sad they all sound, just point out the irony of them KNOWING that the game will be crap (and if they didn't know it, they should have considered EA's past FIFA releases), them BUYING the game that was crap, and then them CRYING that the game was crap. And calling someone ELSE and idiot in the end. What, there is no other world out there outside computer soccer games?

For those who don't understand, I mean, if you've never played anything BUT Fifa, how do you know where Fifa stacks up to other games.

I'm a reviewer so I have pretty much every Fifa game that's ever been out - on not only PCs but also consoles. Right now comparing WC 2002 to Winning Eleven 6 is like comparing the wheel to a formular one car - WE6 has just so much depth and complexity to it that you cannot even fathom how good it is if you've had Fifa as your only reference point. And it's NOT just about realism - it's about FUN - WE6 is damn realistic, but it's also a hell of a lot more fun than Fifa because of it's depth and the sense of accomplishment you get from playing it, it's very much a skill and tactical based game. By comparison, Fifa requires the same amount of skill and tactical nous as pong - and that is NOT an exaggeration.

Finally, people who come here to talk about the brilliance of ISS/WE are not simply being pricks, there's a large altruistic component to their discussion - almost EVERYONE on the ISS/PES forum started videogame soccer with Fifa, but after playing ISSPE we can't go back - we've tasted something better now and realize what we've been fed for years by EA Sports for years was utter crap - yet if it wasn't for people who came on the Fifa forums yelling to the heavens about ISS I would still be playing Fifa (well I still do - but I'm forced to. lol) like a drone.

I would try other soccer games,

but I only have computer. if the other games come out on pc then I would get them...

WOW WOW take it easy ok FIFA sucks no matter what bad boy. First of all a soccer simulation game would be boring for ya if you did not know anything about or did not have the passion for soccer, second of all an arcade soccer does not fit me cause it is not a true type soccer game.

I was out of mind, when I saw the reaction of the stadium (which was mostly filled up by american
ppl ) – every time when the ball went out over the goal’s bar – they celebrated! I was wonder – what the point?
And after, it occurred to me, that they just don’t know anything about THE FOOTBALL!
They celebrate, because they think it was scoring, like in american football.

Nobody said FIFA is the best game. FIFA is the best game on PC and try to argue! i have PC and i play PC games, is it so hard to understand??!!! Marvellous that some enterprising posters even saw fit to paste the words to "Blame Canada" (movie was absolutely hilarious.) However, given the single digit IQs in here, I suggest you look up satire. You can't really fault FIFAs problems with the fact the development team is based here. I'd suggest a global company should have the expertise to design a good footbal game and my own opinion is that they have.

However, consensus appears that North Americans have no clue, and I'm fine with that. But it reminds me of an old shopworn joke:

Well Lavan buddy I have to agree with you again. He is absolutley right guys. I understand that some people have tried ISS and don't like it and prefer Fifa and that is cool but those of you who have not had a chance to play any ISS games should try it if you are tired of Fifa. Get a copy of ISS PE 2 and an emulator and play it on your computer and see what you think.

P.S. BTW Lavan where is my PS2 and PES. Still waiting. LOL

WC2002 sucks

World Cup 2002 sucks.. It's worse than FIFA 2002.. And what's with the new air-play system? A football game has to be FAST! It's just dumb that the game goes slow-motion in air balls.. Another thing that doesn't work is the skills system for the players.. They have to make more skills for the players so that there will be more differences between the players.. In todays game Roberto Carlos, who has 7 (maximum) in shooting skills can play a striker just as good as van Nistelrooy who also has 7 in shooting skills.. In games like This is Football 2002 and Pro Evolution Soccer, the players have about 30 different skill types, with numbers from 0-100 so a player with good defensive skills is waaay better when playing defender than he would be if he played striker..

I am still waiting for the great EA Sports football game, and when it comes, I will buy it..
But until then, I will continue playing TIF2002 and Pro Evolution Soccer, which is obviously two much better games!
