(I was unsure where to post this, considering it doesn't focus mainly on PES or Fifa)
So, I played the Fifa series at a young age and it was fun. I moved on to the PES series at an older age and it's fun, though it lacks several elements which can be found in the Fifa series. After having looked at Fifa 10, it seems to garner a much larger fanbase. I'll get down to gameplay mechanics...
PES:
Graphics - They're quite good. I can't really complain when it comes to judging graphics on Soccer titles. One thing that bugs me about PES are the graphics shown for created characters. The shading and textures are well below par compared to actual players.
Skills/Tricks - I've come to find that certain tricks/skills are difficult to utilize. Even the slightest task of lifting the ball is never 100% with me. As well, certain tricks/skills are often delayed whenever I attempt them. Attempting to roulette for example; Certain times I've found that the ball is lost from me or during the best moment, my trick won't initiate immediately. Definitely doesn't seem too fluid.
Create A Character - It's interesting that you can do this and enter him into Become A Legend mode, however their are only so many options I can use to differentiate my character's looks from someone else. As well, the picture option you can use for the Xbox 360 webcam looks horrible. I'm unsure as to how it looks for the PS3, but I imagine it can't look much better.
Lack of a Manager mode - This really bothers me. I realize that the Master League is as close as you can get to this, however even going into Coach Mode disallows the players to perform up to their best potential. Even after having messed around with the tactics settings my team always performed poorly.
