which teams do u find very difficult to beat?

well for me it has to be Arsenal and Auxerre..

Bergkamp is unstoppable.. i have never won arsenal fair and square.

Auxerre frustrates me as well. The comp just kicks the ball to cisse and he literally walks through my defence and scores.

Auxerre also, if I do it is always 1-0, maybe the odd 2-1. The back 4 and 2 DMC's is a bugger to beat.

Im not too keen on playing at the smaller stadiums in the game as well, as I love playing the chipped through ball into the channels in the bigger stadiums. At Highbury it just doesnt work (like in real life really).

Well, I have yet to make it to D1 in my first ML, so it's all D2 teams so far:

Auxerre. Cisse (or "******* Blondie" as I often find myself calling him) goes into "god mode" whenever I play them.

Fulham. Saha almost always scores an unbelievable goal when I play them.

And lately I've been having trouble with that Italian team in blue (Brescia?) that Roberto Baggio plays for. The Ponytailed One has been tearing me a new one the last few games.

I consider it a job well done if I can draw with those teams. :kader:

i started a new season and now i cant beat olympiakos.... dont know why (maybe because they made transfers like figo, riquelme, inzaghi ..)
everytime when i play against them, either the game draws at the end or i loose with 1-goal-difference!!!
but i play well against top teams like real, manu, juve, milan... lol

my hardest club team to beat is real madrid. figo is simplt unstoppable and puts in the best cross in the game.
national team is either brazil or france. the squads r just legends

i must say Arsenal... they are ******* amazingly good.... real madrid is a piece of cake for me :) don't know why but i seem like I own real every single time. To many "I'm the best players" in real madrid

Don't know why but I normally do really, really well against teams like Barcelona and then screw up against teams like Benfica!

Well, I finally picked up WE7I just a few days ago and just won promotion to D1 in ML. On 3-star I found it tough to beat Fulham for a while, but it got better once I bought Saha (I'm playing as Man Utd.) I've always found it tough playing the lesser teams, ever since ISS PE2 on the Playstation. Dunno why, but I think that I tend to be more focused against teams like Real, Juve, etc., and tend to try to score overly sophisticated goals against the weaker teams.

I think it's why in real life you can find strong teams struggling against what should be push-over teams. The weaker teams use tactics which are difficult to counter unless you change your style also. The games are normally a lot scrappier and they don't get many shots on goal but equally they're frustrating to play against because you don't get as much time and space as the better teams give you as they play more of a containment style.

Wolf, I think you're right in your assessment, and it's one of the reasons why I love this game. Forgot that I also find it tough playing the U.S. team when I play international games--I even lose to them from time to time.

Monaco and Benfica are pretty strong :(

I played Benfica last night two games running (league and then F.A. cup) and they pissed me off big time. In the first game I was losing 2-0 after 6 mins but finally came back to tie the game 3-3. Would have won but I conceeded a really weak 3rd goal.

The second game finished 1-1 (in the F.A. cup), couldn't create enough freaking chances which mattered although I hit the outside of the post about 4 times.

I think most teams probably play more or less to the level of their competition. If you're a powerhouse team (like Real or Man U), then you'll probably take most matches for granted when playing teams you should easily beat (like Fulham or Benfica). On the other hand, when playing an opponent of equal or greater strength, you respect them more and play a more focused game.

What I think I hate about playing the crappy teams in that they dive in a lot more with the tackles and cause more free kicks stiffling the flow of your game a lot. That combined with the fact they get such scrappy goals often is frustrating to play against. They always seem to be really lucky though too with you hitting the post a lot or the referee playing a biased game against you.

I definitely find teams like Arsenal a little easier because you play against a team that plays more like it does in real life, you know the danger men and act accordingly. Let's be honest, none of us really know too much about Benfica's real life style of play!

Oh yeah, I think we all know about those CPU **** goals when playing crappy teams like Fulham, Benfica, and Auxerre. And it doesn't help like you said when the ref chews on his damn whistle when you have the ball, and your guys are getting hacked to death, while being carded for crap fouls on the other end.

Usually I end up getting so frustrated that I just start sliding in on everyone, hoping to break a leg or two before the game is over. Sure, I get a red card or two, but it sure feels better when I injure a CPU player. At least I know I sort of made the CPU pay for its **** win.

On D2: Fulham (bloody Saha!), Benfica (bloody Nuno Gomes and Zahovic) and Auxerre (the blondie..)
D1: Parma (they've got Berkgamp, Overmars and Adriano playing upfront... ), Inter (a rival is always a rival, and a classic is always a classic, since i'm Milan, most of the time they play too well against me) and sometimes Udinese (my only loss of the season, bloody Chiesa and Beschastynkh).

Well i play on 5 stars and i normally win,but 2 teams always give me a hard game and wind me up, Man City and Blackburn. I don't know what it is that gives me trouble against them, i guess it's the tight closing down and formation.
