Who Else's Country Did Not Qualify for the World Cup?

night

Starting XI
As I'm watching all the excitement and buildup to the world cup, I can't help but feel jealous of other nations who made it while my country (Poland) did not. While I enjoy watching every single world cup match, it's just not the same experience without my home country in the mix, regardless of how well will they perform.
Anybody else feel the same way?

My home country did not make it, which is made worse by the fanaticism shown by my current locale about this thing. Not as bad as the Euros, but definitely annoying.

Can't say it feels different to any other big tournie, since we've never qualified for one in my lifetime. Fingers crossed for 2012.

My home country did not qualify. Will never qualify anyway. I'm not the type who will cheer for other countries. I'm Just a neutral football fan for the WC and I usually like teams with a lot of United players to perform well. Like England or Serbia.

Finland didn't qualify, but that doesn't affect my World Cup experience, as I know they never will.

It's such a shame a great player like Jari Litmanen will never play the World Cup.

Same here man. I like to watch every match from a neutral perspective (well, with a slight bias towards teams with United players.)
On another note, it annoys the hell out of me how many people who are normally not even the least bit interested in football suddenly become football experts and die-hard fans of some top nation like Brazil just for that 1 month.

Mine didnt either (Scotland).

We haven't qualified for a tournament since France '98. :(

Although I'm optimistic for Euro 2012, new manager in Craig Levein and won our first friendly against the Czech Republic. We just need to develop a strong team ethic and tough attitude. I feel we have a good group of players. Never world class, but good none the less.

I wish I could say Romania qualified... In fact my sig shows my frustration...

As for the cheering, I always cheer for the underdogs. As a favorite, I have to say it's Cameroon, but if Kapetanos is selected in Greek final 23, it will be Greece I'm cheering for. But I will surely cheer for Korea DPR and Honduras.

Turkey didn't qualify.. Turkey national team could add some extra excitement just like how they did in Euro 2008..
I hope other teams do it and WC2010 become one of the greatests.. im looking forward to see every game..

Hungary didn't qualify either. We start every qualifier with optimism, we can do it, just a little, just a little more, just a little luck and in the end we always manage to feck it up.

We have a pretty good squad, enough to have a decent shot at qualifying but it never comes together. At least we improved a lot under Erwin Koeman.

We did not qualify. Probably never will. The only time we qualified was in 1950, and then too we did not play 'cause of the lack of Boots for our players. :S

I will neutral, and will hope to catch all the matches. This WC must be a class apart.

I do have a soft sport for Germany. Hope they do well. :)

If FM is any indication you have a lot of quality players in the 17-20 range.

A few years ago I remember us winning some u-15 tournies or something like that. They weren't official, though. I've always maintained that that means we'll win the WC when those guys get older.

Mine (Indonesia) failed to qualify and still the FA here has some sick twisted dream to host the 2022 World Cup :|

My country India never qualified (once did in 1950, but did not have boots to play - weird reason), and never will in my lifetime at least. Yet an avid lover of World Cup since 1982. Have been a blind fan of Argentina. I also have soft corner for Spain, Portugal, Netherlands. Will not support Italy or Brazil !

yeah, I think India is the only country refused to play at World Cup after qualification.
