Who will be the next James Bond?

I agree with Hakeem, Bloom looks way too young to be bond. I for one, would pick Hugh Carlos*man over Bana.

Not sure about Bana. One thing that was great about Connery as Bond was that he looked like he could kick some ass if it came down to it. Brosnan and Moore didn't. I'm not really getting that vibe from Bana.

If Jimmy Buffett was to be the next Bond, it would be full of complaining about how wholesale stores rip us off because they sell in bulk. Oh boy. And one of the mission would probably include Margaritaville at some point with drinks there ("shaken, not stirred, and not in bulks either.")

Hugh Carlos*man would be a lot better than Bana, I don't know Bana just doesn't cut it for me when I think about it (:/)

I have always had a soft spot for the Bond films, but it does disappoint me how this English character is so rarely played by an Englishman.

Connery - Scottish
Lazenby - American
Moore - English
Dalton - English
Brosnon - Irish
Carlos*man - Australian

Only 1/3 English - and Dalton was crap. While I think Carlos*man is very suited, I would have gone for someone like Clive Owen, it just seems right somehow.

we got our new Bond, James Bond

DOUGRAY Scott is to be the new James Bond.

He has beaten an army of rivals including Hulk star Eric Bana plus fellow Brits Clive Owen and Ioan Gruffud to take over cinema's most famous role from Pierce Brosnan.

Scott, 38, will be the seventh actor to play Bond on the big screen and is set to make his first appearance in the 23rd Bond film, due for release next year. Bosses at Eon Productions chose Dougray after deciding they wanted a return to a brooding Bond in the mould of original star Sir Sean Connery.

One source said: "Bosses believe Dougray will be the perfect Bond."

The Scot won his role after discussions with Barbara Broccoli, producer of the long-running spy series. She wants to return 007 to his film roots.

A source revealed: "Producers have been eager to take Bond back to the broody and sexy figure that Sean was so brilliant at.

"Obviously it's not possible for Sean to return at his age, so they have been looking for a young actor with similar characteristics. Since then Barbara and Dougray have been in talks - and she believes he will be the perfect new 007 for the 21st Century."

Sources say that Scott is thrilled at the prospect of taking over the most successful role in cinema history.

Brosnan announced in July that he would not be appearing as Bond again, saying: "That's it. I've said all I've got to say on the world of James Bond."

Ah, just get Sean Connery to do it again. Besides, Bond doesn't seem to get any older anyway. What the hell kind of sense does that make? He should be an old man by now...

Unless all that stuff has happened in a span of only 5-10 years.

I WANT OLD MAN SEAN CONNERY DAMMIT!

WTF ???!!! This is guy is not even famous enough . . .

Sean Connery wasn't famous when he firs appeared as Bond, nor was Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan for that matter. I think Dougray Scott will do well.
