No, São Paulo to be fair. In the Recopa last year Palácio scored 3 or 4 in 2 matches against them.

INSANE! I just heard that Arsenal offered 22m€ for him, and Boca will more likely accept. I mean that's a very excessive amount. Talk about overpaid.

I think they will have to break it soon.

Man i thikn Nery Castillo is a far better player and worths that kind of money, at least he is proven in Champions League adn is younger, i think.

The big diference is that Palacio was born in Argentina and Castillo in Mexico, there still ni credibility in Mexican players to pay that kind of money

BTW this summer is getting insane with all those ridiculous offers of money for player made by big clubs, thats not good for the game

I agree, I'm actually shocked we offered it for anyone considering our record fee is 12.5m (GBP) for Wiltord.

The thing with Mexican footballers is that the top, top guys are usually really happy in Mexico. The play is good quality, they get paid well, and they don't need to adjust to a new culture (which is what bothered Borgetti, he hated the food and weather).

Yeha but im sure if a club offers good money like they did with Gago,Hugian and now Palacio, it would be stupid if they rejected a 20 mil offer plus a juicy contract, i mean common Guardado just signed for Deportivo for only 7 million, any Argentinean or Brazilian with his talent wouldnt leave with less of 15 mill, and madrid offered for him 500,000 a year ago comon thats a joke!!!.

Europeans clubs dont risk their money with mexicans

Also have in mind, the place that Olympiakos took in the Champions League compared with the place that Boca took in the Libertadores, not to mention in the domestic stage.

So was it a hoax? Good for Arsenal they almost made the biggest waste of money ever.
