the tackling is a huge flaw. for example ill be henry against a slow defnder, the defender will firstly catch up and faultlessly take the ball away from me.

the thing that dissapoints me is the crowd.
No flares, no flags, bad quality of fans, they are all wearing differnet colour jerseys, there needs to be more chants, fog from the flares, flares onto the feild..
you need better atmosphere around the stadium..
im sure EVERYONE wants something like this and not boring crowds who dont even sport their teams jerseys in the game.

also, when the ball hits the back of the net ..the mesh is as hard as a rock and moves a little..looks unrealistic

the reasons why Fifa is such a unrealistic soccer game
Just 10 minutes ago I watched the FIFA 2005 Diary with the Producer of the game at www.easports.com! This guy says, he answers the most talked about questions in the forums...but who da fu** wants to know something about Non-Interactive Sequences or Fusion...all of these clips are just commercials for their stupid game which has nothing to do with real soccer experience! After making for over 12years soccer games, these "EA"-Guys are still not be able to let the net "shake" when the ball hits the goal!!!!! How could a soccer game producer be so blind???!!! You wanna know what my question is to this guy? Why the hell are you guys are not be able to let the ball fly like in Pro Evolution Soccer Games? Why are you not able to revolution the fu**ing FIFA Gameplay???Look at Pro Evolution Soccer!!!Even the first Pro Evolution Soccer Game one the PS ONE has a better Gameplay than FIFA 2005 and 2004 and 2003 and so on...Fu**cking EA, still making unrealistic soccer games!!!STOP IT and GIVE Konami the Licences for the teams and players...

try and update fifa 98... fifa 98 had realistic gameplay since u can move realistically (u actually have freedom, in fiifa 04 u dont have freedom when you are running with the ball)
when ur an attacker you shouldnt need a special move to get past the defenders, as long as the right technique is used its fine, but in ur games there has to be a special move or something to get past them which is annoying

What makes me really annoyed about fifa and othre sports games is that theres no real variation in players bodies. In fifa 2k4 everyone was stocky. Thierry Henry didnt even look like he does when hes out on the field dancing around. Patrick Viera wasnt even lanky. Players should look characteristic from a distance in their height, build and in the way they move.
The atmosphere in football is one of the things that puts it into a class of its own. Ea have partially captured that with some pretty cool chants, but surely more effort could be put into the crowd. When a goal is scored, the crowd should rise up like a real match, and the noise should be longer. If its a really big match , itd be cool f they could make the camera shake when a goal is scored. I think more corwd - match interaction is needed.
You can never have enough stadiums EA!
Id also like to see proper national teams. ie, in fifa 2k4 have of australias team was wrong.

Please EA! Your chants are great, generally crowd atmosphere is good. But to represent the diverstiy of culture in football and to generally make the game a more authentic experience, it would be realy awesome if EA could put unique goal scoring noises for each country.
