Last years fifa weather was absolute S***house it took me like 10 days ago for me to notice highbury never had a sunny day same with Generic olympic and thwe highbury pitch was always too dark !

Highbury's in England though...have you ever known London to be sunny?

Anyway, my major complaint is the menus. They're slow, the cursor blinks on and off, you have to click things at least twice before they finally respond, some items are totally clickable (including the text), while others are only icon-clickable (the text can't be clicked), but it's inconsistent...some parts are one way, some parts are another. There is no other game on the market (with the exception of FIFA 2004:p ) with such strangely bulky menus.

Very true. This is user editable anyway, so there is no need for EA to waste resources on it.

I just wish FIFA would make a game where a scoring a goal is almost better than sex. Well, maybe not to that extent but you know what I mean. When I score goals in FIFA, I just don't get that joy because it feels like I score the same goals over and over again.

I think the most important thing with any of these games is the "Online" experience.

The Development team for each EA Sports titles miss the point every year... FIFA, NHL and Madden.

A 1vs1 matchup is just lame. Why would any company in this modern age write new platforms for games that actually decrease the number of online players via direct TCP/IP with a new release?

2004 was a real eye opener for me and the group I play with, once NHL 2005 was released we all took a chance and got burned...we have actually uninstalled everything and probably won't go back to an EA title for any new sports games.

FIFA 2005 has already suffered that fate by our group after the demo failed to support direct TCP/IP play after the disater with FIFA 2004's direct TCP/IP. There was no way for us to sample the online play so we packed in our league plans for this year and are back into the FPS genre.

Take it for what it's worth...we got burned by 3 titles in 2004, got burned by one title in 2005...won't touch any EA Sports title for years to come which is the same sentiment by my fellow gamers.

If the type of games your designing are intended for people who like to sit in front of a PC and play against the AI then great job! However, you are also definately on your way to financial disaster ...the lonely boy club isn't that big.

thats exactly how i feel. even if im losing on world class and i come back i still dont get as excited as i would with other sports games. its just too scripted. i always know whats going to happen. the game is fun though when playing someone in person. the computer is too predictable. on all levels i can dominate possession.

anyone working for EA PLEASE READ:

my name is Bill Wood. I review video games for Fuse TV and G-net TV. I also test/review games for Microsoft. My favorite genre of games are sports, namely soccer. I have been playing Fifa games since Fifa '94 (Fifa International), and in my opinion, Fifa 2002 World Cup is the best of the series. Anyway, I am adding to this thread because if you would like the DEFINITIVE list of things that should be added, left out, tweaked, or enhanced, I would be happy to write it all down. I just dont want to start it if I am not sure it will be read by someone who can actually use it! My email address is [email protected], and on behalf of the Fifa fans, thank you for the series, and hopefully you will lend an ear so that we can put Fifa 2006 and the following editions at the top of the industry.

The AI is very easy to defeat it, the goalkepper may be the worst AI player from all is very dumb, you can get goals from about 4o yards without a problem. There should be more american teams and the most important competition of America the "Copa Libertadores de America".

Well the career mode is always been :sb9:, and the crowd ain't great either, i sur edo hope Fifa 2006 is a big improvement from 2005.

all the fifa games has always been good exept fifa 2005.
i mean common after 13 years in carrier mode every good player like ronaldo, henry, becks and many more is gone... many new player has been added after 13 seasons. and maybe we have 13 player in game who name is riera ortega. or 18 players who name is santos and so on..

League mod is bad to i think.. becuase u cant make a transfer.
and u can only play the league, no the cups. if u want to play the cups u have to choise it....

sory for my bad bad english

I'd say Fifa 2005 was way better than fifa 2004, Id rather play 15 years of repetitiveness than 4-5 years in 2004.

Disappointed - one 's', two 'p's.

Please learn how to spell!

As for the topic...

Corners - they're terrible.
We should be able to play short corners, aim for the goal from corners, lob outside the box for a 25 yard volley, etc.

Sounds - It sounds as though the chants were recorded by about a dozen people, and then someone put a load of reverb on - not good.
The chants are ok, but they aren't region-specific. It doesn't sound like mancs are singing united songs, or scousers are singing liverpool songs. It's just a generic accent doing the same chants.

Everything is always a bit too 'perfect'. The graphics could actually be a lot better, in terms of realism. There aren't enough mistakes in the game.

Goalkeepers...
Why are there more than 1 goalkeeper in a squad? Given that they can't either get injured, or sent off it seems pointless.

Player individuality. It seems as though there is only one player in a game - with different faces mapped on. There are no recogniseable 'Beckham runs' , or 'Ronaldo dribbles' - every player acts and moves and plays in the same way.

are ALL the players in fifa 2005 the same height??? it sure looks like it to me, and they all have massive feet, probably why it looks like they cant kick the ball properly, every time you pass, shoot , cross, take penalty's etc etc. Or maybe having large feet helps the players get around the massive pitches

:funny: Perhaps EA could do with more of --> :lui: in Fifa06 ...

Hmm....I only have a small suggestion for the future FIFA versions.

For set-piece takers, ie left+right corner + freekick + captain, I would like to see a list of priority instead of just picking a specific player for each task. I like to rotate my team from game to game, and it's somewhat annoying that I need to re-select the set-piece takers for each game. Cause the one that AI chooses is usually not the one I want.

Say, I always like the freekicks taken by Alonso. If he's not on the side, then Riise, and then Gerrard, and then Hamann, and so and so forth.

And same with the captaincy. Whenever Gerrard is not on the side, AI tries to put the 1st striker as the captain instead of Hyypia.

i totally agree with you. but i think maybe penalty kick too....hope EA will fix this in fifa 2006...... (Y)
