Why wont it install?

I have XP64 and dual boot with XP on Athlon San Diego 3500+ processor, 1gig memory, Geforce 6800GT graphics. The game will not install on XP64 as it says my operating system is not adeqate. But when I boot from the XP partition it installs fine. I only use the XP partition rarely to play driving games as my Logitech Wingman has no 64 bit drivers and would like to play PES 2008 without rebooting my computer just to do so, but cannot work out why it wont install on the 64 bit partition which has all the latest graphics and sound drivers installed.
Can any one advise please?
