So i have played Fifa on the 360 and the graphics are fantastic, yet on the pc they are pretty bad. I have a good PC so it's not my fault, does anyone know if the graphics will be as good?

No man. And that is a big problem with all "next-gen" games... PC can handle these gaffics but neither konami not ea will try these in our PCs... :(

Let me explain it in a simple form: EA is a company, ok. So, when they produce a product they think about everybody who will buy their products. Ok, now, if you EA produces a game that needs really high performance and a dedicated PC then many people are not going to be able to play that game, why? because their PC's are not that powerful; maybe those people are poor or maybe they love their one year old PC's, or maybe some people would like to run some programs on the background, such as an email notifier or an antivirus and stuff like this.

On an Xbox 360, you don't only have a great super machine, but there is almost nothing running in the background, and if there is something then the system locks it until you come back and stop your game, which can't be done on a PC, why? because not all PC users are professional like the Xbox 360 makers.

Now, what is the conclusion? The conclusion is simple, EA will never produce a game that only 10% of the PC gamers can use; not everybody has a super PC that they can use "only" for gaming. So, it's a better idea to have a game that needs power only on Xbox 360 and wait for another 3 or 4 years until everybody in the world upgrade their computers to something can handle high graphics and can be better than the Xbox 360.

Do not think a lot about what I said, it's very simple, this is how EA thinks, and it is very good thinking and planing.

If you want to get a PC that can work like an Xbox 360, with all your background programs working on your PC, then the cost of that PC will equal 7-10 times the price of an Xbox 360, this is a true tested fact, don't argue about it please. :)

Enjoy gaming.

it's very stupid.. considering if you built the best possible pc today it would **** all over the xbox 360.. i still prefer to play fifa on the xbox / xbox360 now these days though.. the general gameplay on the pc just doesn't flow like the console.. maybe thats to do with the tv i dunno

While what you mention about making it available to all is true.

You should take a look at for example Battlefield 2, Farcry, and the upcoming titles Crysis and Half Life part 2, the graphics are already there and way above the 360 in the graphics stakes on the newer titles, it's just down to the developer how much detail they can be arsed to put in!

With all pc games though if your pc can't handle maximum settings you just lower it on the details screen until you can play it, and games can detect if your g\card supports shader model 1,2,3 and change the details accordingly.

This is where Konami and EA are screwing us over, because they just don't care about the PC market, they give all the new stuff to retarded console junkies who think they have the best hardware on the planet, when infact the Xbox 360 is based on a pc in the 1st place and will always be behind for the next 3 years until they bring out there next one.

The only benefit PC users have is Cheaper games and A keyboard and Mouse!

Oh and exclusive access to Crysis

EA could put next gen graphics on PC if they wanted to.

Eidos/Crystal Dynamics did it with Tomb Raider Legend - they gave 2 graphics options on PC - normal ( gfx like on PS2 ) and nextgen ( with gfx like on x360 ) , so everyone could play it and enjoy it.

Conclusion : EA are just a bunch of lazy bastards, that's it :hit:

personally I still place gameplay first. I only own a PC- but will buy a 360 IF THE gameplay is revoulutionary. Based on Madden 07 reviews at game rankings- it seems as if there is not much difference between all the systems. We'll all find out soon.

You can easily build a more powerful computer then an Xbox 360. Everything it can do a PC can...

But that's really not the issue, is it! Unfortunately for you, the majority of people playing video games aren't overprivileged white kids who can put down 2 grand on a new computer every year.

.... EA wants to sell as many games as possible... but that's not a apology for the boring and old core engine they use for FIFA07... other game designer showed how to integrate next-gen graphics ... f.e Tomb Raider.... where is the problem to make a large settings menu with lot of adjustments like texture quality or count of polygons?

I think a well programmed engine could handle this... i'm sure... !

the next-gen version of 360 has next-gen gameplay. The PC version has to be released with current-gen, that's the way they market the product.

They've spent two years on the new engine and aimed it at a next-generation audience. Not every PC on the market is next generation, even though the likes of Tomb Raider may offer the user the same experience, EA SPORTS are either one or the other.

Pus Microsoft would have bought the rights for Next-gen FIFA 07 quite a while before the announcement, so EA couldn't make the same game for PC anyway. These things are planned.

The PC versions has to be coded for the lowest denomiator.

While you can build a PC more powerful than Xbox 360, there's not many people that own such computers. The rest of the home users, the casuals are not up to date.

If they're gonna do that, they better sell those separately.

I don't want to buy something that I won't be able to use, and that will eat up space on my disk that could be used for more important stuff (like porn)
