Yes and TW Golf was an EA Sports product so I am sure Fifa will go the same way.

I'm starting to hate EA Sports. No hockey games since 2009 and even the newer soccer games are incompatible with Windows 7.
I'm terrible annoyed since I'd really enjoyed FIFA 09 and the FIFAmania patch. Now, with my new Windows 7 computer, I can't play FIFA 09 anymore and those lazy, greedy idiots at EA sports can't even come up with a patch which makes this relatively new game work.
Not to mention all the work I've been doing with kits, correct team rosters, banners and all that for the last 3 years. Now, everything is wasted and I have to start from scratch again.
And everywhere I look on this forum, I can't find something to replace my 09 game with. Lots of problems with editors and no WC patch as good as FIFAmania 09. And will FIFA 11, 12, 13 or 14 work on Windows 7?
EA sports can take their beloved console games and stuff it, you know where and then you probably know where they can go too.
As for console games, such a devilish device will never come into my apartment. I rather slit my throat or quit playing totally then play such crap.
Is there anyone here who can give me some advice about an easy-edited soccer game with lots of national teams and most likely some WC patch which works on Windows 7?
Sorry for my bad mood but I've spent the whole night trying to get FIFA 09 to work in a proper way, looking for patches, fixes, anything which could save the day, and nothing! Now I'm just angry and tired.
Well in terms of not releasing on PC, EA always says that they do it because of piracy concerns with PC games. But the pirates just as easily crack PSx/XBOX games as they do with Windows.

However, I do not believe that will happen. Simply out of business point of view. NBS, Madden, NHL these are games (sports) played heavily in western hemisphere (usa, canada, part of europe). In these markets penetration of consoles is stronger than in rest of world. Also these sports are popular in the mentioned market, not in whole world. But soccer is world wide and most popular game everywhere.
Another reason is EA will want to keep Konami with PES in check and I do not believe EA would leave PC platform (maybe economically less profitable) completely to their competitor. Then the fifa PC community would turn to PES and that could have effects for EA vs Konami.
So do not preocuppy yourself with worst case scenario, because chances are it will never happen.

I have to disagree here. There haven't been an NHL game since 2009 but there is a strong community which keeps the old games alive. I can still play my favorite hockey game NHL 2004 due to a strong and constructive community who have worked hard to overcome such problems as I recently encountered with FIFA 07.
As a matter of fact, before I read the post above, I was actually planning to post something about us fans showing the finger to EA by simply constructing our own Road To World Cup game, a game we can keep and update for years to come. I'm sure that there are many people around who are good programmers and so on.
OK, I know that my suggestions might be seen as a call for piracy but the way EA acts against us fans, they don't deserve any respect or loyalty from us.
As for me, my plan B when it comes to gaming is to have an old XP computer and continue to play games on that one until I go to the happy hunting grounds. Never a boring console game for me.
However, right now it's more convenient to have everything on my new Windows 7 computer, therefore my desperate search for something to replace my beloved FIFA 09/FIFAmania game.

i have NHL 14 for 360 but i still have heavily modded versions of 04 (flyermania mod) and 09 from my time at the breakaway forums on my windows 7 pc.

I've seen this in the readme file since Fifa RTWC 1998, are they joking with us? Then why they don't made Fifa 10 world cup for PC? Why made it so late to feature next-gen engine always? Fifa rtwc 98 was based on SEGA Saturn engine, Fifa 06 world cup was horrible! No 3D Grass since Fifa 11!
