edit: maybe its just me but i definatlly dont think ronaldo deserved that yellow

I agree. It was too much for that foul. But then again, an Angolan player was shown the yellow later on for a similar tackle so I think it's up to the ref, if he mantains the same criteria for both sides.

Oh, and btw until now IMO the refs did a good job. (Y) Let's hope they continue like that :p

Man, what a lightning paced impressive start to the game by the Portuguese, eh? The disparity between the two countries and onesidedness at the start was making me cringe a little, man, but good on the Angolans for regrouping and keeping their calm because it looked as though we were going to see a double digits difference after just ten minutes because of the attacking ferocity and relentlessness of the Portuguese offence, you know? I was wondering, what gives? Why are they taking it out so harshly on their former colony? Did one of the Angolans talk smack about Luuweeesh's mother or something? The mother****er was on fire, man. He was definitely tapping into his fantastic showing from Euro 2000.

BTW, can anyone confirm the rumours floating around that Luweeeshh was playing on sped up tape separate from everyone else? His powerful stride surprised the **** out of me, man

I could have swore he was going to lose the ball when he kicked it ahead of the Angolan player, but man he turned on the jets. Not only did he out pace him, but he even had time for an easy cross.

BTW I read this whole crap thread and I think alot of people are disrespecting Angola simply because they don't truly understand football. There are so many different factors that played into today's result. Bottom line is that Angola didn't fold and their goalkeeper and defence did really well. What matters to me is that we're still winning under Scolari. Opinions don't matter. Results matter. So far Scolari is wiping his ass with everyone's opinions. That's why I so glad he's our coach.

I didn't read through the whole thread, but it seems to have gone un-noticed in the international media, so sorry if it's already been mentioned... Scolari now holds the record for consecutive wins in World Cups. He was tied with Victorio Pozzo (Italy 34-38?), but his win with Portugal made him the only holder for the record. 8 wins, I believe.
