When this cup started I hoped the U.S. would do well, just out of national pride. But after reading a lot of messageboards and articles this game has gone from an interesting component of my Monday to something I will be watching with seething intensity. The more people diss team USA the more people will get behind them, hopefully.

USA 2-1, any way they can. Three own goals, two Pks, two shots from 40 yards out, I don't care, as long as we salvage something from this match so we don't have to beat the pasta makers to advance.
