exactly. it's almost as if the 4-2-3-1 was put in during the swiss game to give ribery a place, since that's what everyone wanted. then everyone sees ribery's much more effective as a sub. and with malouda back, why not play 4-4-2? zidane's gonna roam anyways. sure, wiltord's played on the wing before, but he hasn't looked good out there. you're still not scoring any goals and on the bench, you have a goalscorer in trezeguet. i loved how during the swiss game, every missed chance, they'd show trez on the bench grimacing.

I celebrated Park's goal more than either Adriano or Fred's today...Man, wonderful suport from the Koreans . At the very least for Domenech :fool: , France deserves to screw up vs. Togo and go out, thus stopping their run of sleep-inducing performances. After the cup they will have all necessary time to restart from the scratch.

Don't know how anyone can say Korea deserved to win. They hardly had any attemps!! Yes they were heroic, their goal was a tad lucky, and Vieira's header crossed the line without a shadow of a doubt, but he deserves all the injustice that comes his way.

I was amazed in the USA how the Korean fans in LA got together and rented and soldout the Staple Center to watch the game 20K+ WOW.

Even the Korean-Americans here gathered up in large numbers in places like the Staples Center just to be supportive! I was with my big family for the game, and when Park scored that goal, we were screaming at the top of our lungs. My throat still hurts, but it was well worth it. Well done team Korea.

OH and if I was an asshole, I would've wished the members who insisted on French win despite having no ties in this match to have been carpet bombed TWICE, but I don't think there should be any negative vibes during such a glorious event. Here's to the Round of 16!

it breaks my heart that zidane the gret playmaker that gave us our wc has to go out like this, but i can't keep watching players like sagnol, wiltord, vieira, etc on the team.

i will forgive henry (maybe) and i seriously want treze to keep playing even though what domenech did to him was totally direspectful. but the rest of this squad seriously has to go.

edit: i agree with a lot of you we should stick to the classic 4-4-2 (4-3-1-2) and stop it with the 4-2-3-1, back when that system was useful to us we had djorkaeff and dugarry, players with more class and pace than wiltord and for that matter malouda, djo and duga not only were awesome on the wings they came back to defend something that wiltord cant do to save his life.

pps: how i miss those days of deschamps, petit and karembeu playing as 3 defensive midfielders behind zidane....
