World player of the year is boll*cks!

I was watching a 23yr old player in a non league team for a season.

I lost out to watford who he made 10 apperences for, scoring 2 goals and making 4 assists. he also made 1 international appearence for Wales. i made a 500k bid which was accepted and i got my man.

this is what confused me???

at the end of the season it turned out he'd won the world player of the year. how the f*ck is this possible???

Well, duh, but I'm guessing that he either somehow massed a massive World Reputation by scoring so many for a non-league side, or that the computer ****ed it up. I once saw the Europe qualifiers in England be non-league sides. Pissed me off royally :f***:

he could have just changed a wonderful players name to the crap players name, then when he got the award it looked like ti was the player who had played for him.

Exactly the same thing happened in my game. Only this time, it was Denis Pointel who won the world footballer of the year-award. No editing.

That is quite strange but it is very far into the game and the AI does get stranger and stranger the further you go.
I think that it gets blinded by the large stats of like 67 goals!
Then doesn't care about anything else :S

Actually, this happened in 2002, so I don't know what's with the AI.

I mean usually they just give it to the footballer with the biggest reputation :S

There is nothing wrong with the screenshot. Screenshots, unsurprisingly are hard to fake. There has been cases of this ever since CM 01/02 came out. Accusing him of faking the screenshot is just way out of line.

Screenshots are hard to fake and most people would leave a trace of photo editing usually if they have been tampered with!
I can't find anything on these two examples. Maybe its just the AI taking randomization out of hand? It is very rare but It happens

Name a world class DMC/SC. The only one that comes to mind is Mark Hughes. It is his regen, where did Mark Hughes play? Barcelona, Man U and so on. Plus he started at braintree, everybody knows that is the team where all excellent British regens start off, especially Irish and Welsh. Mark Hughes getting world player of the year does not surprise me at all. So you're wrong.
