Match fixing so bad, you have to see it.

As I understand it, Viana and Moto were tied at the top of the table in some lower-tier Brazilian league. With both of the teams winning, Viana needed a landslide to be champions. They "miraculously" scored 9 goals in the final 9 minutes of the match.

So, here's what happened...

Moto Club was relegated this season from the top division in the Maranhao State Championship. Somehow, though, they managed to play the Second Div too...

Second Div was played by a grand total of 4 teams (should be five, one of them was excluded). 2 of them would be promoted. Santa Quiteria won the first stage (yes, two stages) and was already promoted.

Last match day, same kick off time for the matches. Viana had a better goal difference (0 to Moto's -2). Santa Quiteria decides it would be cool to play their city mayor, aged 52, in the number 10 shirt, for the first 10 mins. By half time, Moto was winning 3-0, and Viana was 0-0 against Chapadinha.

By the 80th minute in the second half Viana led 2-0. Then what Sevillista posted happened..... As news came through that Viana was scoring for fun, weird things happened at the other match... Moto had 3 penalties given to them after the 82nd minute, and they managed to miss one to end up 5-1 winners. It wasn't enough, though, as Viana won 11-0 and got promoted.....

There is a possibility the matches will have to be replayed, but no one is quite sure what to do. I don't think there was anything the ref could do about it. It's just shameful.

wow if they just had lay down on the pitch and started telling each other stories it couldnt have been any more obvious.....just disgraceful

Wow, it's so sad to see that this is being done, all these corruption and matchfixing... Football is supposed to be a sport where the best of the best meet each other to create fantastic plays and goals, not that you pay some guy huge amount of cash to win a match, complete scandal

neah....that's nothing compared with that indecent game Sweden-Denmark draw when italy was out! that really sucked
