Malcolm Christie, bought him for £1.1 million as Derby had him with a relegation release clause. Never managed to make the grade at Man U, and no one would buy him even when i put him on the transfer list for £0. Eventually after 3 seasons of benchwarming, Sundowns from some obscure country offered £0 and i accepted. So long Christie. The icing on the cake was when i noticed 3 years later that West Ham had bought him, and when he played against me, he was as crap as i remember!!
Nicolas Anelka, bought him for a cut down £10m, and soon found out why! One week after signing he asked for a transfer because he didnt like one of the players (Yorke) or one of the coaches. Over a 4 year career, he must have asked to be put on the transfer list at least 20 times, for being fined, for being criticized, for me being 3rd in the league (with lots of games in hand). The last straw came in 2007 when i didn't praise him to the papers and he handed in 5 transfer requests at the same time for various reasons including having no support from the manager, thinking the manager treats players unfairly, and thinking the manager doesnt give his players a chance. If my game hadn't got corrupted i swear i would have sold him!
Matthew Etherington, I suppose this guy never really stood a chance with Giggs and Joe Cole in the squad, but after rave reviews all over the boards i decided to buy him when he asked for a transfer from tottenham. Unfortunately, several 5's and 6's later, and the undistinguished label of being in the side every time we lost a game, i put him on the transfer list.
Alberto Delgado, well I wouldn't say this guy is that bad, he cost me 50k from a cuban side, and my scouts did warn me he wasnt good enough for man utd, but for 50k what did i have to lose? He's not scored for my senior side in 4 sub appearances but has scored 2 in 5 for the reserves. His value is now £2.5m so i suppose i could sell him on for a mega profit.
