the enhancement pack doesn't work for me , it says CM4 is not installed on your computer!

Strange.

I just made a fresh install of CM4, and updated with the final update (no data). No problem.

Have you done anything special to your installation? I'd say try dl-ing the update again, as it might have been corrupted, and if that doesn't help, reinstall CM4 (backup your data).

It only says that CM isn't installed in the deafult install patch, which is so buull headed and stupid of SI.Try moving it too Cprogram files\eidos\cm03-04

This happens to people who have a warez version.

I'm not saying that X-Ter does, but...

People who have a warez version get "game is not installed" when they try to install patches.

that is true, i have a mate who has a fake copy and he cant get any updates as it overrides ti the cm4.exe file and if u dont have a real cd it wont work

Yeah, it's possible. If the warez version doesnt update registry... The instal folder is somewhere in the registry (normal version) the patch checks this value and updates the game

Actually, the update checks if the .exe corresponds with the version mentioned in the registry. A cracked .exe would not be considered a good install, so no update. And that's the way it should be.

this is true, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a warez copy of the game, because the "NoCD patch" (normally associated with warez, but not exclusively) can cause the same problem, as it modifies the .exe file.
