Xbox-bug! Take care of your edited teams and players!

In some situations you may get an error, saying that the loading of the option file failed. This happens when you go into live mode, and you sign out later, ; it is a message which is only one second on the screen, saying 'option file damaged'.
The effect from this is that all my edited teamnames and players are gone, setted back to default.

You only get this bug if the following conditions occur:
- if you used the 'load formation'- option (see formation screen) OFF line, and after that going at LIVE.
- If you did NOT succeed in finding an opponent and sign out without having played. If you DID play, the bug will NOT occur.

So if you never use loaded custom formations, this bug wil not occur.
If you DID load a formation and you want to go to LIVE, just switch off the xbox and start over. Then the loaded formation is unloaded.

I of course wrote Konami about this bug.

I get that message, but I don't even play on live, it just randomly happens. Its messed me over like 3 times in the past 3 weeks.

Man if I can't find the cause of this so I can prevent it I think I'm gonna stop playing WE8, it's so frustrating. Can anybody help me? I also made a thread about it in technical issues but its not getting no replies...

i have had that too...

and not from signing into xbox live...

it just occurs sometimes.. usually if i switch the xbox off while its not on the main front screen...

luckily for me, i have my data backed up on a dongle, so its not that much of a problem...

yeah, i just updated all the team names and some transfers on my xbox, then the option file got damaged and i lost everything!! including PES points and everything i had unlocked.

it sucks.
