meaning the PS2 ,XBox and gamecube won't have the next gen graphics obv. so the ONLY Fifa '06 we should be concerned about is

FIFA 2006 XBox 360

it will be more than graphicly better it will be the best of all the verisons.. next gen is capable of more than pretty graphics... expect special features for it as well as the a higher level of realism.. x360 can more accuratly do collisions and other physics related ...

Yeah, who the hell cares about the graphics? We know they are going to be top notch. I'm sure the gameplay will be improved this year or next year.

OK let me be just alittle more in depth...

XBox 360 is coming out in Nov. And EA has already confirmed that Fifa 2006 is a LAUNCH title. BUT there is very little known about the PS2,XBox or gamecube vers at this moment. No video even of the current consoles vers either. JUST the XBox 360 teaser.

Now that said.

XBox 360 is going to be poerful no doubting that and I doubt EA will do anything to improve it on PS3 as far as 2006 is concerned(as the PS3 isn't out til next may or whatever). I will say in the PS3's defense that it's cell processor is POWERFUL. Very much more than anything out there as it's so dedicated to it's gaming engine. Now again i really hope that EA focused on a better game for it's 360 vers than it's other console vers. ONLY because the 360 is capable of much more. BUT i do doubt that development time with the XBox 360's engine for Fifa 2006 is very early and not in anyway finalized. though i think the XBox 360 IS a direct rip off the GC engine but more powerful of course, which might mean developers such as Ea know what toexpect with it.

Remember in that interview with the PES producers when they said that the ps2 and xbox limited their work? They weren't able to use alot of recordet animations due to disc space problems. Up til this point they (EA) have based the whole game on the PS2 and Xbox while the pc version is just pretty much a conversion. My point is, with better disc storage you'll be able to use way more animations wich would add a grander deph to the gameplay.

ps2 and xbox games are on dvds..
xbox 360 games are going to be on dvd-9's and thats it so there isnt much more space.. not till ps3 and bluray

but i dont believe disk storage had anything to do w/ it considering the game is only 1.6gigs at most and they can use up to 9 currently... but i am expecting next gen pes to look like the intro video...

Im expecting both PES and FIFA to be 100 times better on next generation. I mean there going to have bigger DVD's, more powerfuls cpu's etc..etc.. SO yes they will get better but only with time. Graphics, animations, gameplay will always improve. Now since most people buy the game for PC, PS2 and XBOX right now I think we shouldnt worry much about the X360 unless your getting then heck go for it but I think we should focus more on this Gen or hardware this year then worry about the next gen stuff next year. IMO of course.

You're right. Because the PS3 doesn't come out till late 2006, they should concentrate more on the current consoles.

Yea and plus, this will be there first try at the next gen systems (with Xbox 360 and PS3) so why not just work on PS2, Xobox, and PC now and then we could work on improving it next year for the PS3 and Xbox 360. To me it only makes sense.

Yeah, point taken ... It amazes how little of the disc space they use on the DVD. Maybe the PES producers were full of **** like everybody else in this world. Regarding the next-gen games, alot of the disc space will be used for the high quality textures i guess. I mean they go from 640x480 to 1920x1080 in resolution.

All this talk about Next-Gen consoles gets a fella excited :lui: ...

I currently have XBOX, but won't get X360 until PS3 comes out and I compare the two. I am getting the better of the 2. I am loyal to whatever gives me the biggest bang for my buck$$$$$$$ (kinda like the executives at EA :hump:).
