Is this resolution monitor-dependence? I have a 19" monitor but my FIFA 11 doesn't have this 1920 x 1080 resolution. The highest resolution I have is 1366 x 768

This just means that your monitor's highest supported resolution is 1366 x 768. If you want to play at a higher resolution, you'd need to get a new monitor (Generally, they don't go up to full 1080p HD until you hit the 23-24" range).

Hope that clears it up for you!

Glad to see another toon fan, too!

Of course you can, it looks amazing on 1920&1080 (21.5" Samsung P2270HD), the textures are sharper than the PS3 version. :)

dudes,

i'm using a 32" TV, but using HDMI cable, I'm unable to play FIFA 11.
Not sure why though. When I use VGA cable, I can play it.
I must have done something wrong. & I'm new to this.
Any pointers?

This is NOT HD, High Definition is 1280x720 (720p) and 1920x1080 (1080p)

1920×1080 = 1080p/1080i - Standard HDTV resolution, used by Full HD and HD ready 1080p TV displays such as high-end LCD, Plasma and rear projection TVs, and a typical PC resolution (lower than WUXGA); also used for 1125-line video, as defined in SMPTE 274M, ATSC A/53, ITU-R BT.709;

Standard-definition television (SDTV):
480i (NTSC uses an analog system of 486i split into two interlaced fields of 243 lines)
576i (PAL, 720×576 split into two interlaced fields of 288 lines)
