Starting XI
I have started a game with Perugia with Cm update 3.9.6

I have started well hovering around 3rd 4th after about 8 matches. I cannot settle on a tactic. I have around 7 million in the bank and this is my squad:

GK
Kalac - he is on fire avg rating 8.
Some useless Gk.

Defenders
Mike Duff
OKoronkwo
Said
West
William Vialli
Milanese
Mikael Dorsin
Jon Inge Hoiland
Ze Maria

Midfield
Nikiforenko, not in form yet
Bakircioglu
Kerr
Morten Gamst Pedersen (good young left wing)
Alexander Farnerud (good young MC and Forward right centre)
Giovanni Tedesco (quality DMC)
Baronio
Grosso (average DMLC)

Forward
Tsigalko
Miccoli, on fire, avg rating 8.17
Pamungkas
Berretoni (good young SC)

I'll keep trying to get Leandro Bonfim, who is still at no club, but atm, does not want to come to Perugia.

Agahowa is in my sights for the end of this season. So is Hadzimehmedovic......

How bout tactics..........
I've tried a whole variety, what do you reckon?

Your squad looks good but it could do with a couple of more famous, experienced players. May I recommend Dino Baggio, you can get him dirt cheap from Lazio after a few games and he seriously kicks ass. You could also do with another, more reliable striker. Martin Palermo is the best choice but as you can afford him I would recommend Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a cheaper alternative. Another good player that would fit in there nicely is Gilles Domoraud and when you get more money you should think about Michalis Konstantinou or even Marc Van Bommel. Infact a new DMC would be a very good idea, and I would recommend Dino Baggio, but for a younger alternative try Javier Villarreal from Boca or Rad Kaluzny from Cottbus. Also you are running a bit of a risk relying on just one decent GK. Sign someone quite good that wont mind spending most of the season on the bench - I recommend Tony Silva or Neil Moss.

As for tactics, I would try a one striker fairly defensive formation. I have a couple of great tactics I can send you if you give me your email address but a good formation I think would be (sorry if it's a bit out of shape):

Code:
LEFT-------------------------------->RIGHT

-------------------Kalac------------------
---Okoronkwo-------------Said-------------
---------------SIGN BAGGIO----------------
Pedersen---Kerr---Farnerud---SIGN DOMORAUD
----------Nikiforenko--SIGN SEMAK---------
------------------Tsigalko----------------

With forward runs on the four midfielders.

Also, as your squad is quite large, I would recommend you sold a few players (esp. spare DC's) to raise money for more spending next season.

Hope this helps...
