Haven't really seen that much of Alaba, so I may well be overrating his season's performance, but I really like the kid. But there really hasn't been any particular leftback that I've seen a lot this season and been impressed.

Must say I don't usually watch Bundesliga, so didn't see much of Alaba, Lahm, Neuer, Ribery, Kagawa. Hard to choose a CDM. Maybe Xabi was a biased pick, but he's definitely one of the most important players in Mourinho's side.

Umm... not today, no. And I agree that he still has a ways to go to realize his potential. But there aren't that many great defenders in the world right now, particularly guys who were healthy this season. And Dortmund only conceded 25 goals. And he can spray passes around like Frank de Boer and Ronald Koeman.
