I guess i'll just tweak my older formation (4-1-3-2) again. Now, another matter. In CM4, i downloaded a formation (shame on me, i know, in fact, the 4-1-3-2 i made is one of the first times i get it right), which was about the good old 4-1-3-2, but it had some peculiar stuff.
Man Behind the ball was turned on (on my 4-1-3-2 i tried that and it worked wonders, although when the team suffered a goal first i seemed to struggle, even so, that rarely happened), plus it was using a man marking system to all the players. All the team was set to close down always (even defenders, except for the GK), plus the 2 forwards were set on free role (i tried that in mine, looked good, but now i want my FC's inside the area, not wandering the whole pitch like they do sometimes).
It was a very successful formation, but that was CM4, so the question: has anyone tried a man marking system, as my defense seems to be conceding some silly goals (the defenders get caught too much on through balls), so is there a way to stop it from happening. To me more clear, i wanted a rock solid defense, so is there a "magic formula" or stuff like that? And last, has anyone ever tried a arrowhead formation in CM0304 (you must remember Gareth, the creator of this one) and did it work?
If the 4-1-3-2 gets totally cracked, i'm considering making a 4-2-3-1, with 2 MC's on defensive and 3 AMC's on gung-ho plus the striker.
