Your Worst/Dumbest/Most Embarrasing Miss

mine was the worst miss when i dodged 3 people(including the keeper) and then once i had an open goal i screwed it all up cuz i whamed the ball above the post......this happened when i was 12 from that time onwards i've always started placing the ball

Mine would be when the opposition's best player blasted a free kick really hard at the goal. I threw my head in front of the ball (I play centre back) and it hit me so hard it gave me concussion. It also deflected off my head into the goal, thought it would have gone in anyway.

EDIT: Sorry, thought you said moment, not miss. My worst miss was when I went in to head an easy goal from a cross, missed and headed the crossbar instead. That almost gave me concussion too

Mine was a match against are rivals, and i was making a run, the other forward crossed it in at like knee level in front of me, and when i kicked it the ball went straight up in the air when I almost could have ust done a tap in volley.

Mine was against the best team in the league, ball game in i was unmarked 5 yrds out and i missed kicked and the ball went wide.

Im a right back so i used to run foward alot and got a great pass from left i was some 3 meters from the empty goal and i just slammed the ******* ball over the crossbar in a very very retarded way

Haha.. I remember my mate laying the ball off for me. I stepped on the ball with my left foot (I'm a right footer, I was planting my left foot for the hit) and er, well, I kind of fell. I don't know what went wrong, I lost concentration for a second I guess.

Mine was when I got a perfect pass behind the defenders, it also got past the goalkeeper, and I had the goal under a meter from me and i managed to shoot it high over.

But I scored 4 other goals in that macth, so it didn't mean so much

After I was in the right place at the right time, saving my team from a goal by kicking the ball which was going in, the corner kick came in and I should have blocked it with my body but it went in .

my worst miss was when we were 1-0 down, late in the game.........we had all pushed forward, the midfielder crossed into the 18, my friend got a head at it but hit the crossbar, it came right to me, as it was rolling i ran up to hit it, but i slipped and missed the ball entirely......we finished 1st place that season so it didn't matter, lol

this is something i will never forget. It was a tie game. i was making a forward run and my teammate booted the ball about 60 yards to me and it landed rolling on the ground in front of me and only 8 yards from the net. So i planted my left foot and swung with my right and looked up as i was certain i would score. After i swung, i looked around to see my teammates laughing there asses off. I looked down at my feet and wouldnt you know it the ball was still there

This was just last week, our season is over, so the coach of the girls team invited a few of the varsity players to practice with them, so the girls get to play against some skilled players. We agreed to go because soccer is soccer, and because they have some hot girls on their team.

Anyway last week was the 6th times in a row we went to play with them, we were toying with them like most of the time, I started out strong, playing as if it was a real game, but some of the girls started to bitch, and they started going in with 2 footed tackles on us.... (:/) ...so the level of my game fell to almost zero, anyway, I was about 2 feet...maybe a foot away from the goal, all alone.....I pass it on the ground into the net, at least I tried, the ball went wide. A few moments later I missed the ball when trying to clear it, I took it all laughing, and it was fairly fun, but all the girls were ugly, the hot ones stopped showing up after the second week.......who cares what ugly girls think, right?








Oh, my first season on the team, with the JVs(second team) I got an amazing ball a foot or so ahead of me, instead of chasing it down and shooting, I tried to one-time it...while it was rolling away from me, so I missed the ball, if I had shot it right, I would have scored for sure....man...worst moment of my life so far...

oh definitely mine happened this past season

the ball was swung into the box but took a deflection, our keeper froze on his line because of it

the ball was heading diagonally towards the left hand corner(keepers right) with a striker behind me, i tried a cheeky in the air backheel with my right foot to clear the ball out of the box

missed it, the ball then hit my left foot as i was coming down and the ball rolled into the net
