Tbh honest m8, even with sarcasm in place there, CR7 didn't do much except score in that final. Single-handedly carried Portugal in the Euros? Come on, you know thats not true, unless its a different Portugal in a different Euro tournament we're talking about here.
With that said, he does deserve the title as Best Player in the World for last season. He did have an amazing season with Utd. Just for that he deserves it.

Ronaldo had a fantastic year and totally deserves to win it.

Still, his playing level for the NT is much lower than in United, now and then. He plays only for himself and dives and argues with the ref much more frequently, it's no surprise he was booed in the last home match against Albania. He even reacted to some people in the crowd who were booing him, as if they didn't have right to that if they want to.

He's clearly nowhere near last seasons level, not 100% fit, but I hate the way he behaves, you have to understand where he comes from, his family and education he didn't have, but the truth is he's a little prick who happens to have tremendous skill for football. Some of his attitudes are absolutely despicable and immature, how can this guy be the captain of the Portuguese NT?? It's a very poor decision from Queer Arse and I'd love to see him sitting on the bench, because at the level he's presenting himself atm that's exactly where he should be (except Queer Arse doesn't have the balls to do it and the press would kill him).

Hate to say it but the only player who single-handedly and for many years carried the portuguese NT was Figo (in recent years).

Even Luis "Pesetero" Figo has twice the class Ronaldo have, and he had leadership qualities that made him a good team captain.

Ronaldo is still a fantastic player and like I said, if he plays for the team he can be extremely useful, but I think he really needs to grow up and stop with some of his attitudes.

P.s.: Some of the names in that list make little sense, I have no clue who the **** is thus Zhirkov guy, and yeah Iniesta is a tremendous player who also had a great year.. but meh.. every year it's the same thing from UEFA so you kinda get used to it.

There is always an EPL bias in these. For example, Drogba and Ballack are on the list with a combined 15 premier league goals in 2007/2008 while the top two scorers in Spain (Guiza with 27, Fabiano with 24) and top three scorers in Italy (Del Piero with 21, Trezeguet with 20, Boriello with 17) are left out.

And yes, Iniesta needs to be on that list. Apparently a trip to the CL semis is enough to get Gerrard on the list, but not Iniesta, who also won the Euro.

Ronaldo should and will win it.
