Zlatan.

Gilardino is a fantastic player but lacks the extra dimension Zlatan has. If Zlatan improved his finishing he would truly be one of the best going around, not only that he can play deeper behind any other forwards or upfront, that extra dimension I am talking about.

However if you want a lethal finisher, we all know the answer.

Zlatan is an asshole. I still remember his shenanigans the last time he played against Inter. Elbowing Cordoba. F*ck that, I'd pick Gilardino any day of the week. Look at his goal tally compared to Zlatan's. Unlike Zlatan he doesn't have worldclass players like Nedved and DP feeding him balls. All Gila has is Morfeo. Outrageous scoring.

first things first, why was this comparision made anyway?

Zlatan is a forward, Gila is a striker.

Obviously Zlatan will win in terms of "technical ability". But check out all the goals Gila has scored. He's like Rivaldo + Nistelrooy when it comes to scoring.
