PES 2013 - Meet & Greet Cristiano Ronaldo

Written by Dan Bolas on Tuesday, 29 January 20132 Comments

We are genuinely supporting of PES here at Soccer Gaming. The truth is, without competition, football gaming would ultimately die. For many years, PES has been the realistic alternative to FIFA, and a genuinely respectable soccer game in its own right.

Unfortunately, where Konami and PES do fall short is in the promotional department. Where as EA Sports run campaigns and tournaments aplenty, there is a lot less noise coming from the Pro Evolution camp.

So it is quite nice for us to report the recent promotion in which loyal PES gamers were rewarded with a real world training experience with non other than poster boy and game cover star, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last Friday, 12 lucky fans got to meet and train with Cristiano Ronaldo himself, thanks to our PES Xmas competition. But we wanted to share this once in a life time experience with all of you, so we will be sharing some videos, photographs and interviews during the week!

The day started off with a PES tournament, so all our fans could show off their skills. Amongst the screams of victory and missed opportunities (and the occasional match against members of the PES team) one of the French representatives, Lplayer, steam rolled his way towards victory to claim the cup!

But then was when the excitement really started. Our players walked in to the changing rooms, to find that each seat was branded by PES with their names and an exclusive kit for each participant. They each received their own training kit which included a pair of Cristiano Ronaldo Nike Mercurial boots, and a Nike Mercurial ball. After an extensive photo shoot, as each player was taking pictures of every inch of the changing room, they were all geared up and ready to go!
