Pro Evo - The party game
Now I am not one to write much about Pro Evolution Soccer, but it has been a firm favourite game of mine for sometime. But I have found an interesting way to play Pro Evo 2009 that has made for some competitive games between me and my mates.
Unfortunately where I am living at the moment, I would have to pay over my budget in order to hook up my xbox 360 to the internet, so I don’t have the luxury of playing online with millions and millions of people who are just waiting to kick my arse. Instead I have to rely on the old method of multi player games, actually getting the people round to my flat for a good old social event which involves the game and a few beers, it is the only real way these games should be played. Having the person in front of you ready to ridicule when you stick 5 goals past them.
Now there is 2 friends that I have round on a regular basis, so when Pro Evo 2009 came along I thought it only right for us to all to create three fantasy teams that we can use in order to compete with each other. But obviously we can’t have the same players in our sides so what I did was to ask each of them to write down a squad of players which they would ideally want in their sides, whoever was unique to a persons squad, that player was automatically theirs to keep. Then the players that had been picked more then once where put in a hat, with each player taking a turn to reach in and take a player of their choice. Players could then be swapped amongst each other if they felt they needed a certain other player instead.
The result was 3 fantastic and competitive sides which we all now use for battle. I rarely play the other modes in Pro Evo, laterly if I have been playing on my own I have been playing in a league made up of the 3 made up teams, plus alot of international teams in order to test my abilities. When my mates come round to take each other on using our respective teams it has made for some great bouts where any of us can win.

Haha, excellent idea! Love it.
We have been adding to the teams since then, I have just got rid of Berbatov for Van Nistenrooy, any suggestion on players is welcome
That Mikey guy got the raw deal. The other two of you have gotten nigh perfect squad and he’s got a totally rubbish team. O’Shea on the bench? You’ve got to be kidding. Do I get a cookie if I tell you which team he supports?
Mikey is the hardest challenger, what he lacks at the back he makes up with Rooney, Tevez and Cole who really do kick my arse sometimes. He picked the majority of the team himself really without much fight for players.
