PickLive! Latest News

Written by Dan Bolas on Tuesday, 18 May 20103 Comments

PickLive! (Formally Football 3s) is a brand new way of watching Football and playing along. A mix of Football management, betting and interactive TV, the game is played using your laptop, whilst watching a real match live on you telly! The previous season has seen a number of trial runs and match stats being recorded, and now PickLive is looking to come to the iPhone and iPad.

The full press release can be found at the PickLive website, however the latest news is that PickLive has received a full relaunch in time for the Champions League final, with a view to being available on the handheld Apple Systems in time for the World Cup. The service, which features a up to date blog and online leaderboard is moving towards a pay to play service in the coming weeks, with a focus really being placed on a 21st Century way of watching Live Football.

The service will be featuring both the Champion’s League and Championship Play Off finals this Saturday, and I would personally open the door to anyone wishing to do their first PickLive game on behalf of Soccer Gaming. If you are interested in taking part, please contact me on dan@soccergaming.com.

For more information on PickLive, and the scoring system, please following the link to the FAQ section on the PickLive webiste at http://football.picklive.com

Hey Dan - great post. You can play on your iphone and ipad via the browser right now. The game is playable on the iphone but the screen is a bit small for the game (the ipad is fine). We’ll be doing some work between now and the World Cup to improve this but you can blaze away in the meantime.

Unconnected but interesting, if we consider that only Brazil has been able to claim victory at the Football World Cup outside of its own continent - what can we expect for the World Cup in South Africa?
