Does the FGO CL patch work with 3DFX? Yes, the FGO CL patch works in 3dfx & non 3dfx ( the best way is with a 3dfx or d3d card ).
About the release date
The FGO patch will be ready within 1 week. The exact release date is currently unknown. About the size of the FGO CL patch The final size of the FGO CL patch is 21.2 MB without the 3DFX Balls and Turfs. If you in include them as well, then the final size is 22.7MB of the FGOCL patch.
About the extra updates (add-ons) for the FGO CL patch We are planning to make extra updates (add-ons) for the FGO CL after it has been released. These updates (add-ons) will include teams that were not in the FGO CL. About the installation of the FGO CL patch
You will only have to run te FGO CL.EXE from the FGO CL-setup directory to install the FGO CL. The SETUP will install the FGO CL into your World Cup 98 directory. When the installation process is completed, you must start an EXTRA Installer.exe that we have made. The Installer.exe, installs the Anthyms, Night Stadiums and Menu Night Stadium Backgrounds into your Wc98 directory! There is an readme file inlcuded on how to start the Installer.exe. Night = The Stadiums and Menu Stadium Backgrounds that you see during the Champions League!
****NOTE: THE FGO CL WILL OVERWRITE MOST OF THE ORIGINAL WC98 FILES****
In order to get the original files back, we suggest you to re-install World Cup 98.
About the different versions/languages of Wc98
At this moment the FGO CL only works with the English installation of WC98. We are however testing it with other versions/languages of WC98. When it works correct, we will put languages-patches on the FGO CL page. Then people can download a language-patch for their own language. So FOR now, it only works with the English installation of Wc98!
About the FED Cup add-ons and WImp compatible
For those who want to use the FED Cup add-ons with the FGO CL, well, we have tried the FED Cup add-ons on the FGO CL by using WImp (Wc98 Importer) and it worked good when we tested it! The only ERROR we got was, that the Starting line-ups and the Formations (*) were mixed up! But this is logic, because the FGO CL uses different Starting Line-ups and Formations (*) for the
Teams then the FED Cup! So, when you do use the FED Cup add-ons on the FGO CL, make sure you set the correct Formations (*) and Starting Line-ups in the Team management of Wc98 for the Team you are planning to use on the FGO CL!
(*) = The Formations the Teams are playing, like 4-4-2, 4-3-3, etc....
About the FGO CL add-ons and WImp, well, we are trying to make the extra FGOCL add-ons work with WImp (WC98 Importer). At this moment we are testing the FGO CL add-ons to make it work with WImp! We will let you know on the FGO CL page when we know more about the FGO CL add-ons and WImp!
About downloading the FGO CL patch
There will 3 different options available to download the FGO CL patch:

SURE you have:
****YOU WC98 CD-ROM IN YOUR CD-ROM DRIVE OF YOUR COMPUTER**** This is because the Installer.exe copies the National Anthyms from your WC98 cd-rom into your
Wc98\audio\anth directory! 2 - The Installer.exe also make a *.bak of 3*.db files in your wc98\USER directory.
These 3 *.db files are: - xfer.db
- cplayer.db
- custom.db When the Installer.exe is finished, please check your wc98\USER directory if there are indeed *.bak files in the USER directory! If something has go wrong, and you still have normal *.db files in the USER dir, please rename them or copy them into a TEMP dir or other directory and then REMOVE them from your wc98\USER directory! You must remove the 3 *.db files, because the ONLY DB file that must be in the USER dir is the tmmng.db! Because if you also have the other 3 *.db files in the USER dir, then the Starting Line-ups, Formations and other teamsettings are COMPLETELY mixed up! 3 - If you see an ERROR at the end of the Installer.exe, for example "FILE NOT FOUND", don't
WORRY then, because then it could not make a *.bak of your files, because they were NOT
in your WC98\USER dir.
This is NOT an REAL ERROR, so you simply close the Install Window en start the FGOCL without any problems!! 4 - To see the new 3DFX Normal Turfs, you must set the wheather conditions to DRY!
To see the new 3DFX Snow Turfs, you must set the wheather conditions to ICY!
