For me it is a big improvement.
I like the possibility of creating theoretically every league with complete teams.
And I also like the new organization of the national teams
I think because of the new system teams will perhaps be created that would never be created with the system before

Yes this is the problem now that was to expected:
Previously just 1 adboard (UCL) covered the whole season for all leagues and teams, now we would need hundreds of such adboards to keep the 2000s decade authentic for each team (or at least league).
I have created a few such specific adboards before

But in order to keep at least the top teams/leagues looking authentic, we'd have to create a lot more.

yes, if you have the right pes game installed and the proper tools for editing them, i think all about pes can be found on evoweb forums

Of course, all graphics first need to be made in png/bmp and then imported into a container.
I remember when I used to mod PES 2008 I'd use Game Graphic Studio.
Now, the easier and faster way would be using FIFA 10/09/08 etc mods because CM was always a thing thanks to Rinaldo so people were posting/importing actual png/bmp files.
For instance this FIFA 10 Bundesliga pack has 9 boards for each team
And with a quick resizing we can have
Bayern Munich 09/10 adboards
Similarly, FC Barcelona 07/08 adboards

5 adbords would be enough for me. (Italy, France, England, Spain, Germany) With a single generic adboard with the most common sponsors you can cover an entire decade without weighing down the patch. I removed all team specific adboards for those 5 leagues to save space and make it easier for anyone to add new teams. If you have only one adboards set up, creating a team has one less thing to think about since it is automated based on the league ID. Having adboards for each team is a waste of unnecessary space. That's about 700 mb for the whole decade. I prefer having 20 teams per league in the generic adboards database than having only 5 hyper detailed teams per league. I Point to the substance of the patch. Hyperrealism for such a large patch is harmful, weighed and unnecessary. It only leads to wasting time on useless details that any user ignores after two games. In short, all work for nothing. Smoke and not roast.

you can even go until 03-04, of course it needs more work to de-pixelate the adboards and polish them but with better resizing and some filters they could be quite quickly ok
Yeah, with the quantity this patch has to offer (i believe it triples almost any other patch in football games), i don´t think details such as adboards would influence the experience a lot, maybe for a spin off of this patch (think about it, this patch offers the possibility of being the base for specific year patches!!!). If i had to choose details, i would probably focus on stadium quantity or specific faces/hair.
Ps. I don´t think anyone mentioned it before, but a work that could be done for the purposes of this patch is to adapt the modern stadiums with the old adboards (playing up to the 2000 with the LED adboards doesn´t feel right).

But while we have older FIFAs content still available for download, we might as well make use of it.

I understand why Giggi might not be interested in this for weoght and priority, so an optional add-on could be fine.
So 2000-2003 might be the real challenge, where we might have to go one adboard for league for starters.
PS maybe we should arrange this project somehow to avoid double work.
Today I have found FIFA 10 adboards for EPL, Bundesliga and Serie A, FIFA 09 for RPL, FIFA 08 for EPL, La Liga and Serie A.

Yes. 700 mb I prefer to occupy them with good quality kits. This means having more teams to play with and create leagues. Maybe 700 mb is all the kits for the Copa America from 1916 to 1989.

it's much simpler than it might seem. I did it for the 90s. From the file posted by Vala there are already a good dose of sponsors, almost half of them premier Leauge adboards for the whole decade.

Nike (with ball) for the seasons in which the nike ball was used.
Someone repeat it like in that file and you already have a good adboard for the premier from 1999-00 to 2009-10 with little effort.

As a quick base, yes sure.
But personally I would be happy to convert as many specific adboards for the big teams as possible.
Nostalgia with Pirelli for Inter, Carlsberg for Liverpool and Siemens for Real Madrid.
Feels like football history museum.

It goes into very little detail. Now I speak as a player and not as a developer of the patch. After two games I ignore everything that surrounds the actual game. I think about the pitch, where the ball goes and scoring goals. I skip the replays so even there I'm not looking to see if it says Pirelli, Vodafone or Fly Emirates. As a player then knowing that I will have to download 700 mb more for something I don't know would also bother me. I would like those 700 mb to be occupied in files that amplify the database, that add my favorite teams.
It would be like putting lights on the street for Christmas and having the streets full of holes or the sewer open... As mentioned before.
It would be smoke and mirrors for those who download. It is not the goal of the patch to have such a high level of detail. Never was and never will be. It is a goal of the patch to have as many teams and tournaments as possible to play with. Give as much as possible the opportunity to have your favorite team, give the possibility to say that my cousin, my father, my uncle or my grandfather are also in the Classic Patch. This is the spirit of the patch.
It may be that I come from fifa 97. It was enough for me to read the names of the players to be thrilled to play with those players in a context of non-existent or primitive graphics. But for me a football game must be with a work of art where you look at the canvas, the painting and not... the frame.... I like paintings, not frames XD

The patch seems great to me, the only thing I miss is having a database to play tournaments with National Teams or teams from different decades
