most likely. if you change the viewport render method to flat (right click viewport name, goto other and select flat) you can at least see that it's a complete shape...
it doesnt seem to effect exporting anyway.
some good results so far with facegen, heres a few i've made with this technique
i also used the same images from the photofit as reference planes to help add finishing touches in 3dsmax (and some texture work of course) to get me to this stage but so far so good!
game changer going on here! you still have to model fine detail and areas like skull regions and ears but we wouldnt want it too easy ;)
if only we could add to fifa 12... hopefully soon!

never found a true solution to my previous error though... i ended up running the converter on a fresh install of XP x86 using an old drive i had laying about. seems to work perfect on that!
not had any errors regarding cff to...
i'm getting an error every time i try to convert RX3 to CFF... Ive followed the setup notes from the first page and tried slimdx in 2.0 and 4.0 updating to .net 4 as well for the slimdx 4.0 test.
i'm using the fifa 11 texture editor which requires slimdx and works fine so i have my doubts...
