Before the game came out, I read and read the reviews from people who had managed to get a copy before me. Some were positive, most were negative...

I can say after playing since December, I am thoroughly bored with this game, and it is a major disapointment. The career mode was a nice idea, but no tournaments besides what you play already in career mode? You can only do so much. It's too hard to score a goal, the computer attack is repetetive, and the game... quite honestly, blows.

I just put it up on ebay hoping to get at least half of my money back. I will give Pro Evo a shot now, I think it comes out today.

Sorry EA, I tried and I defended your company many times, but this games sucks and I won't buy whatever crap youhave coming out next time.

I know! I have always enjoyed the FIFA games, but this years was seriously lacking. It is obvious they rushed the game to the market and didn't finish everything. I just can't figure out their logic this year... Taking out such simple things as a world cup tournament. It's silly...

Just go down wing...OTB...cross to Vieri, Henry, Ronaldo, Van N, I use Adriano...or whoever...trap and one time rip into corner.

Last month when I started beating Real and Man U like 7/8-1 on world class with my normal Inter squad...the game got REALLY boring.

Luckily WE7:I is coming out this week in the states!!!

I have read the complaints about it being too easy to score a goal. I can have a string of a few games where I can't score squat. I can hit those wing balls all the time, but therein lies the problem... I don't want to score my goals everytime from the wing, doing the same exact trap play. I can hit some longer ones, usually from Ballack or Hamman.

I guess I was reall expecting alot this year from EA. And this is coming from someone who liked FIFA 2003 when it seems nobody else did. Oh well, I hear many good things about WE7. So why not? And so far I am making 14.99 on my game. :D

Plus I can now go buy the PC version for 14.99. So maybe that's what I will do.

Welcome to pes 3, i know it's the bad forum but i was exactly as you.
A furious fifa fan but this year it's not possible.
I pay my game 60 euros and i'm disapointed.
Where is a really football in this game, about 10-25 matches, you can't support to play a simulation football like EA tell in his promotion publicity.

Where are the controls, the differents goals, the cpu gameplay etc, the passes in space etc.

For me i stand pes 3 at 25/02/04 and in this moment i play pes demo and it's really football.
I download all patches and when my game is coming, i think I'll have an equivalent game superior to fifa.
I don't think for euro 2004 or 2005, EA could make a very good game as pes3 .
I don't dream this year.

Listen FIFA wasn't the horrible game everyone made it out to be. There were some bad things and some good things. WE7 is almost out so now I will play that but FIFA2004 was fun to play while I waited for it.

i am sorry to hear that you are selling your copy of Fifa 2k4 it really is a great game.
that is good news that WE7 is coming out in the states, it is a good game.
however i find it more beneficial to have both games to have the best of both worlds.
WE7 offers great competitive soccer, while fifa offers liscenses and real cups and good soccer gameplay.

somedays i dont play WE because i don't feel like having too competetive of a game and don't feel like thinking that much so i play fifa, it is also a nice break from WE when it the ai starts to cheat.
i completley agree with you pennington10 fifa is not as bad as some seem to think it is.
people seem to compare fifa to WE instead of comparing it to soccer in which it emulates pretty well

hmm- seems most of u are experiencing problems with fifa 04's AI, well sorry to say, but the game has basically the same gamne engine as 03- which was hardly a step into the futre of 02

If you ask me, the last great revolutionary fifa, in terms of gameplay was probably fifa 2000 and 2001

2000- cos of the game engine and AI (for its time)
2001- carbon copy of 2000, but easier to score (bad)- but had terrific grafix for its time

Anyhow, the point im trying to make is sure, the AI is horrible, and the graphics are crap- but we can make up for the AI in internet play, that is- if you did buy a legal version of the game- i did- now apparently my 15-day test period is over, and i didnt get a chance to play- until i configured my computer to account for EA's dimwitted approach to the game engine, which took the best part of 4 months.

So now, i cant play online because EA think i have an illegal copy, so you can just scrap the online play, because the EA server is the only dedicated server to play on, cos EA wont allow any others to run fifa.

If you ask me- the bottom line is fifa is ****
1)- For EVERY fifa there has ever been, there have only been a maximum of 2 techniques to score a goal (even on amateur) in each version. And once mastered, you score 8 per 8 minutes, if you try a different technique, you lose 3-0

2) The game engines are basically built upon the previous and the previous upon its predeccessor etc.

3) Its irritating

4) The options are horrible, in the past 3 fifa's, programs were needed to be made AFTER the games release to CREATE teams and players, and fifa 04 doesn't even have the CREATE TEAM feature!

that's the smartest thing you have posted, everyone expected a lot from EA and according to all those people, they didn't deliver, i still like fifa 2004, sure its not the greatest game, but i'll play a game here and there, i don't spend a lotta time playing it, cuz it will get boring, all games do...........but the reply im gonna get here is that u were all bored of it the first week it was out, oh well....all i can say is tough, next time, set your expectations really really low, then when the game comes out, it should be decent :crazyboy: lol

I don't know if you're gonna have much joy selling it. I've $hit in 20 boxes and slapped a FIFA 2004 sticker on each of them and am currently offering them for sale at $9.95.

I can't possibly see what your genuine copy of FIFA 2004 can offer over my dump in a box!!!

WE7:I is also coming out for the PC in the States too as well as being released for the PS2 tomorrow.

FIFA is coming to an end, the fans are drifting and still EA have their heads up their asses thinking they can challenge Konami on gameplay when in reality FIFA 2004 gameplay is not even as good as FIFA 98. Sad!
