fifa 2005 still has many flaws that ruin the game

i played fifa 2005 with a friend yesterday, and i can say it still has many flaws

from 5 games playing on DIVISON 2!! i scored 4 free kick goals, 2 in one match!!!....how come division 2 players can take kicks like beckham ???

also, why tha hell do players on fifa 2005 always fall to the ground when they center the ball!!?? does this happen at all in every real life match?? i dunno you, but it really gets me annoyed..

the shooting system kinda sucks, and the animations when shooting and running are not really well tuned...


why tha hell can-t you pass the ball when you are on a direct free kick??

im sorry to say this but PES is better

on the free kick i agree with you when i was playing with roseborng i scored 3 goals with FK's

fifas Set pieces are fkd up .

fifa set pieces is too scripted not flexible

I hate the corner kick, it's so limited in options. Where ever I kick it the keeper gets it somehow. The players make no effort to beat him and when they do get a header in it always goes far over the bar.

I've already scored 2 goals from CK and they were awesome... i don't think the system is too bad... just could had more things...

the bad thing is you are limited to "delivery the ball into the box for 3 players" than you able to choose what you want to do

manutd12, what difficulty are you playing on? I havent got the game yet but surely if your playing in world class set pieces become harder, as goalkeepers become better. Dissapointed to hear about the running and shooting animations though. Bring on FIFA 2006!

Those are just superficial things and improving the difficulty does make it that bit harder to score.

As far as im concerned, FIFA 2005 is a vast improvement on 2004 and looks set to rival PES for sure!

First Touch mode is ace, you can actually challenge and take other players on, Off The Ball (TM) for thrown ins is a great touch, the career mode is a lot better (although nothing compared to Champ Man of course), and a few nice extra features, like the fifa store, trophy room making you work at the game.

Also the addition of the mexican and dutch leagues are great ideas! (No argentinian leagues yet though!)

I certainly dont regret buying it, unlike 2004.
