Andrejs said:The first yellow Rooney got was for nothing at all. A stupid decision by the ref. Players with Rooneys temper will always get pissed for things like that, so he clapped, boo-hoo. He got the second yellow because the wankeree has a ego bigger then the whole stadium. Rooneys reaction was pure frustration. He is being played out of position for months and still he is always one of the best players on the field, I feel sorry for him.
PhiLLer said:Ben, you can't say much about Giggs' performance, he's only played about 30 minutes of first team football this season. Scholes indeed doesn't look anything like the player we've come to love. But you can say the same for the rest of the midfield.
I never was a fan of Fletcher and even though he's surprised me with one or two performances, I would still not pick him over Park or Giggs. The entire midfield is disfunctional, it's just not working. There's no flair, no passion and for some reason Ferguson is determined to put Smith in midfield. He's a passionate, good player but it's just not working.
Why don't we put Ronaldo on the right, Giggs on the left. It worked so well in many games, these two on the wings, interchanging, they can break apart any defense. But no, Ferguson is determined to have his little bell boy, Fletcher in there...at all cost.
What's wrong with 4-4-2, it's a proven formation for United and with the players we have it would seem the logical thing to do. Play Rooney and RVN up front, together, or at least have Rooney drop off slightly into midfield but all these 3-1-3-1-1 type crazy formations, it's just not working but somehow Fergie can't see that...or he's too stubborn.
The defense isn't playing bad. I quite like O'Shea, he had an OK game. Ferdinand looks solid as a rock and with Silvestre alongside him, they're building a good partnership. Add Heinze's warrior spirit to that and the defense is sorted. Van der Sar has added so much more confidence, it's amazing. He's the goalkeeper who finally looks like being able to fill Schmeichel's boots...or gloves.
It's not hard to see that the midfield needs to improve because when we'll face the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and, dare I say it, Liverpool we'll be in big trouble. We look a better team than last season but we still don't look like a team that's capable of beating the best teams, we lack that fighting spirit, that never-say-die attitude of old.
remember to take the time to diss MU whenever you can! cuz you dont have many chance to do it!rony31 said:my heart filled with joy when I saw Rooney get sent off... ****in pecker needs to learn to shut the **** up sometimes
Yet his point still stands, doesnt it? One day, if he doesnt tone it down, that temper of Rooney's is going to cost this team in a big game. Fortunately for himself and the club, he has plenty of time to get some dicipline in him.ericstarkid said:remember to take the time to diss MU whenever you can! cuz you dont have many chance to do it!

2) I was really happy to see Rio and Forlan shaking hands and laughing at the end. (can anyone find a pic of that)

he could have played :
giggs-fletch-scholes-ronaldo in midfield.
smith had so many passes going astray and attempted certain unjudged tackles.
