This was originally posted in the CL-Patch thread by snoppf1, but I started a new thread to avoid confusion. Thanks to balgopi for informing us about this stuff.

for everyone who wants to check this out can watch this youtube-video which has been uploaded recently.

Here is the important scene you should take a look at:


By the way, number 1 shows the new FIFA10 logo whereas 2 points to the area where something like "PC NG GAME..." can be seen. There is also some other information, but it's really hard to read and probably not worth to be figured out.

Well, this might not be a proof for next-gen in FIFA10, but I think at least it's worth mentioning it. However, make up your own thoughts or maybe post something else if you find some other information.

I just hope, that this means, we finally get NG in FIFA10
... and if not, I'll continue playing FIFA 96 (good old times).:)

Sorry for disappointing you but it's not written PC NG Game. It's written PC NG Gamepad S (probably "System"). Btw, this is probably a good news because if they need to use NG system probably they are changing gameplay. Here you can see the picture in better resolution. The other points are:
- Get 09 Telemetry
- Schedule Post-Chip
- Stadium Work: Ch...
- Chant Capture: Send
- Kit Dic (or "Dlc") = Text N...

True. All sites refer to DLC as Download Content. The third point is probably schedule post-ship patch. (?)

I agree with you. Fifa 10 must be Next Gen on PC. No more stupid goalkeepers, no more easy to score, no more arcade, no more difficulty levels too easy, no more too bugs, and many others things. Please EA, we want a serious game. A true simulation. A true Next Gen.

Marcel Kuhn speaks about the next 360/PS3 game, not the next 360/PS3/PC game or just the next NG-game.
But anyway, if they really don't want PC gamers like me to get this game, I'll wait for NHL an NBA 2k10 which will be absolutely stunning NG-games for PC (even more NG than the console versions of FIFA).

This does not mean nothing! Marcel Kuhn is a 360/Ps3 producer also for FIFA 09 and of course he talk about 360/Ps3. There are no reason why a console producer could join the PC version... The producer is probably the less important in a game production. The producer is only someone who has the duty to make all things going to the same direction managing the programmers and leading them to something that is in tune with our desires and also with money and rights EA SPORTS buys for the game. The important thing is to see if there will be new programmers to FIFA PC game, especially if these programmers come from the gameplay field of NG consolles.
Don't think for a minute that a producer can do whatever he wants ;)

I think you didn't get what we wanted to say with that statement. If there are again different dev-teams (one for PS3/360 and one for PC) is obivious that both team don't make the same game. I mean if PC would be the same game as PS3/360 it wouldn't make much sence of giving the PC-version its own dev-team. For example the PS3-version and the 360-version are combined in one team, too.

But here another indication for getting the same crap than last year (and the years before):

How could you realistically think that a dev-team could simply melt with another? There are lot of things in common but also lot of things that are different between PC and consolles game. The most important is probably the possibility to run on different pc configurations and systems. This is not a game like quite almost the other games now that are pubblished for consolles and only then, after 2-3 months or also one year, for PC. This is a game that have to be developped at the same time for 2 different way of playing and maybe EA SPORTS think that is more easy to do it having 2 different dev-teams. Moreover, another time, producers DON'T make the difference: the difference is made by programmers. Last year PC dev-team took 4-5 programmers from NG team to help them apply the new features such as faces, 3d turf and so on. This year they will probably join other 4-5 programmers or simply they will hire some other new that, maybe, is also able to make things better than you think and even better than NG programmers. You can't make the equivalence: Ps3-Xbox360 team != PC Team, so crappy game. You could make a similar (but not sure) equivalence if they told you that PC team will, another time, develop also a Ps2 title. In this case we can get angry or not so trusting: but, for the moment, Rutter words don't mean anything.
Remember that the luck of EA SPORTS NG FIFA games is due a lot also from their ability to work with Ps3 consolle and system that is not so similar to PC and Xbox system. Maybe they have some programmers that are able to work very well on Ps3 engine and I don't see the reason why they should use other people or loose their ability to follow PC title. Not because PC title is not worthy, but because probably they should learn how to do a PC game and this is not a thing that can be made in 6-8 months of work.

PC dev-team and Paul Hossack made a decent work with FIFA 09: for the future we have only to hope they will take and ADAPT more things from NG consolles ;)

Sure the producers may make a mentionable difference for game's quality. But the fact that that PC game and NG-C game seem to go different ways makes me doubtful.

Mate, you are talking to someone who saw that only 10 minutes of cinematics editing was enough to enable old "FIFA 06" popups... I still ask myself why programmers didn't have less than 10 minutes (I think that they surely know cinematics structure more than me, so 10 minutes are also too much) to make such a change.
I said "decent", not "wonderful" :D

Ok guys, talking about producers... here I have another interesting bit of information for you:

FIFA 10 PC gets a new producer!


Instead of Paul Hossack there's now Luke Didd.
He already made his first appeareance in EA's official FIFA forums. He seems to listen more to the customers than Hossack did. Even if that's not a too hard task when you remember Paul Hossack wasn't even registrated there.
