It was a job to do in 6 months. I did it in two weeks. Now every European Cup (UCL) from 1967-70 to 1978-79 has the minimum of 16 teams that I hoped to have. The teams starting from Ireland (except Crvena Zvezda) are a random jumble of data. The almost total absence of information does not allow me to make exact teams. I don't know who the left back, right winger or "number 10" is for example. Even the aspects are random, with rare exceptions. There is a large fantasy component especially in the away shirts and the Sliema Wanderers logo is missing because it is not clear from the few photos. However this project is finished. Another goal scored!

It's roughly similar to what I found. I read that RB was Carroll and I put Tobin as CB/DM. Tambling was captain while Nottley should be a striker. I read that he scored 9 goals. I put it forward on the left

It was not uncommon back then here for players to play multiple positions even as drastic as a defender and an attacker. Ireland had players in 90's that were the same.

Cup matches were my only source of understanding these teams. Then I implemented it by doing research on the internet. In Bohemians you have the two players that I couldn't find anywhere (Byrne and Leech) while I have one that you didn't mention (Pat Nolan). It's messy to find a balance. I'm reviewing Bohemians now and have switched to the 5-2-3 formation. I had Padraig O'Connor as a midfielder now I moved him to right winger in the 5-man defenceHey Giggi Tambling and Hale were player managers at the time.

Its hard to get definitive information read a few different articles on club site and from out national papers they gave some squad player names on there but its just a few different sources where I tried to piece together the squad and positions. Feel free to updates as you find further information.

Yes I know. it is also a problem because the sources often say different things. Even the shirt number doesn't help in this because I found a central defender with the number 7 (number that is used by the right winger). I also searched various Facebook groups that deal with lineups and championship reconstructions. They too don't know where to turn to find data. I also hoped for the Rothmans guide but it only covers England and Scotland.

Cork Celtic also have an additional "problem". He often took players (legends) with a token contract for a limited period and this also distorted the choices and potential of a team. George Best, Geoff Hurst, Uwe Seeler.
