    UEFA Champions League Thread

Given the financial windfall with overcoming a round or winning a match in the CL, I'd say that's highly unlikely. Throwing the Europa League is pretty much Serie A (and other leagues) practice because the prize money is a joke compared to the CL. It's all about CL money nowadays, especially for...

    New Succession Game

Some might not get the game immediately, which would probably delay a succession game to next year or next summer even. I say we just start one on FM17 and see where it goes. If it's fun I'll just keep playing it on FM17 even if I have FM18. Really hope Shifty gets back in on it.

    New Succession Game

I don't think I could plan playing an online game either. I'd still be up for a succession game. Currently playing my 10th season with Athletic.

It's a single J, they just wanted the black and white stripes represented. The logo has the shape of the Scudetto shield. It's a design thing. It has actually somewhat grown on me.

The definitive Juve thread. I don't think we need seasonal threads anymore, right?

    New Succession Game

Parma would be pretty interesting, but I dislike managing in the lower leagues. It's less fun to me because I don't know any of the players, both on my team, my opponents or potential signings. I wouldn't mind starting with a Serie A club without a sugar daddy to make it challenging. With the...

    New Succession Game

Let's say we start a Succession Game, do you prefer a nation or league? I think an Italian or Spanish game could be fun, we haven't managed in that part of Europe yet. A Sicilian club like Palermo could be fun. Trapani (Serie B), Catania (third tier) if we want to go lower-tier. Colorful clubs...

SG Draft 2017 - official sign up thread

I gave an update on the two weeks of vacation in the Draft thread last week or two weeks ago I think. Some seemed pretty chill about it. Anyway, if it's too much trouble (or ''insane'') starting the Draft two weeks later I'm not participating this year. It's too bad, just unfortunate timing...

SG Draft 2017 - official sign up thread

It doesn't matter. Last year there were 13 participants; two groups of four, one of five. Now there could be three groups of four, one of five.

    Juventus F.C. [2016-2017]

Inevitable. I'm just glad it waited just long enough for fans to keep calling it Juventus Stadium, just like Dortmund fans kept calling their stadium Westfalenstadion instead of Signal Iduna Park. The new logo has grown on me. It's no secret football clubs turned into marketing enterprises anyway.

    Juventus F.C. [2016-2017]

Great article, thanks for sharing! I'm so thankful the Juve board were able to convince him to join. What a champion. Juve's MVP in the knock-out stages of the CL too. Let's hope he wins the trophy for us.

    FC Barcelona 2016/2017 Thread

One more funny story to share on Gullit and Sacchi. Sacchi was a notorious Peeping Tom. After games he'd stand in a corner and peep at his players under the shower. Gullit, naked and showering with Maldini and company, told Sacchi a story about a guy in Amsterdam with a 1 meter dick. An...

    FC Barcelona 2016/2017 Thread

Ah, yeah. That's interesting. It's funny how each coach or player will interpret it differently. Of course Total Football is incredibly influential and romanticized, any coach will claim it had an influence. There's a pretty funny or telling story about this game of ideas vs. players skill...

    FC Barcelona 2016/2017 Thread

Sacchi was actually a great believer in Total Football and Cruijff, Cruijff was a huge influence on him during his Milan days. He even gave a seminar recently on Cruijff and Total Football (''2.0'') at the KNVB (Dutch FA). I also saw a documentary on Cruijff's heritage and Sacchi was one of the...

    Juventus F.C. [2016-2017]

Including the loan fees and potential bonuses Juve got pretty close to the 30M Chelsea paid for him. Maybe Conte didn't do enough to convince him it'd work out for him at Chelsea, especially with his heart set on a move back to Juve. Did Conte ever say anything about it? I think Courtois' future...

    Juventus F.C. [2016-2017]

Cuadrado himself pushed hard for a permanent Juve move last summer. If he didn't he'd still be at Chelsea I suspect. I think clubs generally listen to a player if they really want to leave, which also happened with Vidal, Pogba and Tevez at Juve.
