00/01 Unhappy Player

I am playing Leigh RMI and have made it to the First Division in 05/06. I have a player, Bernardo Vasconcelos, who may/may not be in the original database. He has been great for me, great ratings and such.

But, he has been unhappy for a while because he thinks the clubs valuation of him is unrealistic. I have tried setting the valuation at anywhere from 0 to 1 million, but it does not change his attitude. His contract does have a 1 million minimum fee release clause, put in early on when I saw he would be good.

He won't negotiate a new contract, because he is unhappy, even at much better weekly rate and lowering of the minimum fee clause.

His contract runs out at the end of this year, and I will soon lose him (I assume) to another club poaching in six months before the contract expires.

Anybody have any ideas?

I think that means he feels you've rated him to highly. Have you tried setting his valuation to 'auto'?

How old is he?
Sometimes young players have this if they have a squad status thats too high for their age. They cant handle the pressure

Thanks for the advice. I had set it on auto for six omnths, and it has not fixed it. He was also set on indispensable, so I changed it to squad rotation. Now he thinks he is being treated unfairly!! Oh well, I guess I am going to lose him.

Oh, and he is 23, but starts every game.

What I do is set there value to 0 then after a week put it upto what I bought the player for e.g 200k & the next day there fine
