There are some very notible abnormalities about the current fifa that need to be cleared up, and some aspects which need to be considered in the making of the new fifa (in my opinion), overall...im just havin a bit of a whine...tell me wat u think of me ideas and if their legitimate or if they're stoopid.
1) The commentary stinks (i know, and so does everyone else) however not only is it repetetive, but some small things that the commentators say which is just totally out of whack! For instance, im in January, and John Motson says "Well its the last game of the season and...well....it has been a very good campaign hasnt it Alley?......blah blah blah......pitches have survived until this last day when all the players have been finally waiting for an extended break.....recover from injuries....bla blah..." How stupid....in january they're talkin about the end of the premier league?? it can't be THAT hard to leave that **** until March - April AT LEAST. Not to mention the repetetive commentary (seriously, i aint gonna mention this coz i cant be bothered)
2) still on commentary, they say stuff like "the home team here are beating the away team....away team has dominated.....home team won here last time on their home turf..." in fifa 2001 they used to say at the beginning "here we are then at the pitch with a football match between Manchester United, and Liverpool"....u cant tell me its gonna be hell for EA to out in the odd Real MAdrid, or Arsenal, or Panathinaikos in the commentary here and there....if they could do it in 2001 then it HAS to be done in 2006.
3) More interesting ways to score.....tired of just sprinting, weaving in and out of plyers (not using skill, just hold sprint and weave - like rugby union) and slotting the ball in the bottom corner of the net (on world class). I discovered that from the penalty spot, when running in, its easier to lightly tap shoot straight at the keeper and score, than pile drive it into the top corner...anyone else have this problem??? keeps always JUST TIPS IT PAST THE POST when its bound for top corner. Also, if anyone has seen that DVD "Top ten Goals of the Decade - Premier League", i advise that EA look at that DVD for some pointers on some of the possible ways that World class finishers score (including ******ds curve, no ball spin shots, chips from way outside the box etc)
4) Very briefly, the way keepers dive. Most of the best keepers are as good as they are because of their reactions and their improvisational skills...include a couple more improvised saves, and im sure they wont get old once people play the game more than twice...the saves on 2005 fifa are just too basic...the one where keeps gets on his knees and used his opposite hand to punch a ball heading for top corner, double handed save headed for top corner...there are about 2 more i think...lol
5) Keeper reactions...these are HORRIBLE!!! If anyone has ever seen Jaeskelinan's save against Andy Cole in 1997 or something, u'll noe wat i mean by reactions of keepers...in fifa the only way the computer scores is off headers, and ****e keeper reactions....i.e. they have a shot hits keeper, and from the weirdest angle they 'slide tackle' shoot it in the goal, with the ball travelling between a keeper (standing up looking at the floor) and the post...BULL! The keepers have to readjust quicker in the next fifa
6) Greek league and more Greek players with actual faces (at least Zagorakis, Nikopolidis and Charisteas...and Stellios Giannakopoulos)
7) players with more aggression argue with ref and over a silly tackle should get a yellow for talkin back
8) Untucked shirts, pulled down shorts, long sleeved shirts, gloves, head bands that dont bloody disappear when the player is running...etc....some features on players which are realistic and arent static
9) At least 3 international competitions....i dun care what they're called...even if their called CUP 1,2 and 3.....I DONT CARE! i dunno bout everyone else when it comes to caring about the name of the cup...but i speak for most people that i know (who have the game) when i say its boring making tournaments and **** in fifa...it takes too long, and wrong decisions like how many teams in each group can lead to the cancelation of the whole tournament...this pees me off, having to add AAALLLLL the teams into the comp again....
10) This is a gameplay one, and i sorta ran outa ideas at this point...so im putin the only thing that springs to mind.....and if it means upping the rating from {G} to a {PG} or something then so be it.....with injuries PERHAPS....MAYBE.... we could see some bone-age happenin there....a really nasty challenge should pop the other players leg/ ankle/ knee/ shin/ arm....etc...so that people actuallly say "OOOHHHH....that WAS a bad tackle....i shouldn't have done THAT!" even a little blood, some stretchers when they're badloy injured...add a little injury time (they should include that too) and have a little clip of the guy in pain being dragged off the pitch (which reminds me...ADD LITTLE CLIPS FOR SUBS!!! WE KNOW NOTHING OF SUBSTITUTIONS IN 2005! bring back the clips which included the guy running off the field all pissed off that he's being brought off in the 1st minute and ****)...where was i....oh yer...i little more creativity when it comes to injuries....medical people patching it up...have a bandage around the leg if the guy wants to continue etc
ok, im done....any thoughts? im curious to see if anyone else shares these ideas..
