hi,

I have fifa 08 installed on my pc,
but,
i want to install another fifa 08 with the updates.

so i will have a fifa with no updates, and the other with the updates,

how can i do this?

copy and paste, then open with a FIFA08.EXE no cd crack the game you've copied and the other one, modify as you want it.

Read this post on how to have 2 fifas. And, you do not need a crack. This is for FIFA 07, but works with FIFA 08 as well.

does install dir has the same name in fifa 08?

Well, here is a little guide.

When you open fifa08.exe with hex workshop, you need to click on the little button, marked in a red circle:


Then when you click that, you get this window. Make sure that you set the parametres to what I have here:


Thirdly, when you search for "install dir", my hex workshop found 2 instances of that (for FIFA 07). How many you have, I do not know, but make sure that you select the one that I have here:

Hmm, fifa08.exe might have a different format then. Unfortunately I do not know and cannot help you with that anymore

Yes. There is a string 'INSTALL DIR' in the .EXE along with a message that includes the same string of characters. Make sure that your search is not case sensitive, or search for the all uppercase version (in which case you should only get the one hit)

i am following this guide:

You need:
A good knowledge of Windows registry
An Hex editor
Time

Make a copy of your FIFA 07 directory and name it MODF 07
Open with your favourite Hex editor the fifa07.exe file in MODF 07 dir.
search install dir string and change in newinst dir.
Close hexeditor.
Execute Regedit command from Run shell of start menù. (Make attention! registry is a fundamental part of Windows)
Go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> EA SPORTS -> FIFA 07 and create a string key with name "newinst dir" and value "Cprogra~1\easpor~1\modf07~1\" (both without quotes!).

Run your fifa from fifa07.exe in MODF 07 dir to have a new fifa.Run in normal way to run your original fifa.
To install patch check the rigth directory.
This trick is good to have an offline fifa, and a online version of fifa for multiplayer match.
