3 Major Gripes

The three major gripes I have with 06 (keep in mind I'm only playing the demo) are

A) It's too hard to score on 1-on-1s, even with top strikers like Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldhino...etc.

On a breakaway on world class, the defense catches up way to quickly and wrestles the ball of you. I don't mind once or twice but every time?

C) My biggest problem with the game. Slide tackles. I seems to me that when you press the slide tackle button, the only thing that happens is the player slides. He makes no attempt to get the ball. In PES5 (yeah shoot me ), when you slid, the player would make an effort to reach the ball when he went to ground, not just sliding around for the fun of it. I find slide tackles useless because it is nearly impossible to take the ball without taking the man unless you're right next to them wrestling for control of the ball (where you get a little linear sequence), though I rarely get a chance for this as the opposition will pass the ball away.

Overall, a great game, and I look forward to playing many hours of Manager Mode. If EA fixes these things next year, I will be one very happy person.

Sliding tackles need correct timing if you want to use them properly.

But even with correct timing they don't look natural. It all looks like a scripted animation instead of a defender doing everything he can to get the ball.

I'm a sucker for the manager mode with the real leagues and kits.

I usually buy Winning Eleven once they have a proper kit mod. (Like the Wolf's 2005 one).
