AI vs AI In Career Mode?

Hello!

Tell my please: in career-mode can I somehow trust to control of my team to AI? In friendly matches I can set controller to neutral - and computer takes control over both teams. But in career-mode... Why I can`t? It would be great manager-mode with good 3D-engine - isn`t?
May be it is possible to edit career settings somehow?
